This Shocksafe Treaded Spade is designed for the toughest of tasks where the ground is proving to be hard work. With a blade width of 190mm, it is slender enough that it can cut through heavy soils whilst still having a wide enough blade to facilitate a little shovelling of debris as needed.

The handle and shaft of this Shocksafe shovel is what sets it apart from your run-of-the-mill spade. The shaft consists of a solid fibreglass core coated in a durable polypropylene shell, which makes it resistant to electrical loads up to 10,000V, making it ideal for working around live conductors or working areas where there may be buried live cables.

The blade of this shovel, like all of the Shocksafe range, has been engineered to be as lightweight yet strong as possible. This has been achieved by forging the entire blade from a single piece of quality steel with forward-facing integral treads at the rear of the blade. These treads reinforce the blade and provide a greater surface area, allowing you to position your feet for the best digging performance, comfort and confidence.
