Course Code: 26SPM103I

This two-day, in-person workshop takes place on Saturday and Sunday, February 21st - 22nd, from 11AM to 5PM ET

  • Saturday, February 21st, from 11AM to 5PM ET
  • Sunday, February 22nd, from 11AM to 5PM ET

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on February 10th, at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

About the Workshop:

Join us for a weekend-long inky experiment in printing. Students will combine the traditional, tactile printing method of letterpress with the modern, vibrant, and somewhat "imperfect" quality of Riso printing to create unique, layered, and visually interesting prints. We will push the boundaries of both techniques through experimentation with color, texture, and design elements, and explore the differences between the two techniques. Students will make improvisational prints using found materials that they bring with them, and the printshop’s collections. At the end of the weekend we will bind together a simple collaborative zine of our experiments to share and take home.

Required Materials:

    • Low relief collage materials: fabrics with texture, lace, embroidery, found objects that can be scanned, plant materials, buttons, ribbon, bubble wrap, stickers and stencils. I will bring materials for students to experiment with, but they should bring anything that speaks to them and their work.

All other materials will be provided by the Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.

Stylish, heavy gauge and easy to put together.
      Color: Gold
Super easy to put together - took under a minute Great value for the money. Comes with extra double headed screws. You only need one to join the bottom to the top.

      Display ornaments
      Color: Gold
I used two Lolalet stands to display special Christmas ornaments that represent countries I have visited. They look terrific displayed this way! I will purchase more as my travels continue.

I wish it was a little bit taller
      Color: Black, Color: Black
I love the way this necklace stand looks. It is visually captivating and has a sculpture-like appearance. I looked at a lot of other necklace stands and didn’t see another that didn’t require pulling one necklace over another to get it off and is visually appealing. There are a lot that do one, but not the other. I do wish it was 1.5” taller or spiraled down at a little bit shorter pace. I have mostly long necklaces and the bottom few hooks won’t be usable. Also, I feel like there could be a bit less space between the hooks which would allow more hooks to be inserted. Overall I think this is great! It is beautiful and generally very useful.

      No more tangled necklaces.
      Color: Black
I found the necklace stand to be exactly what was needed. It's not to tall or short and can be adjusted with the rods. Great for the price.
