- Calcite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not over correct under normal conditions.
- Upon contact with calcite, acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the pH which reduces potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Periodic backwashing will prevent packing, reclassify the bed and maintain high service rates.
- Depending on pH, water chemistry and service flow, the Calcite bed will have to be periodically replenished as the Calcite is depleted. As the Calcite’s calcium carbonate neutralizes the water, it will increase hardness and a softener may become necessary after the neutralizing filter.

Features of the Up-Flow Acid Neutralizer:
- System comes complete with bypass valve
- Simplistic up flow design requires no backwashing
- Does not require electricity, drain line or timer to operate
- Directional inlet/outlet head has removable cap for fill port to easily add media when needed (wrench included)
- Removable upper distributor basket allows tank water drainage when adding media
- Tank is constructed using wound fiberglass/polyethylene for durability
- Includes: food grade media and gravel and adapters for vertical or horizontal piping applications
- Operating pressure range: 25-125 psi
- Operating temperature range: 40 - 100°F.

Did not disappoint!
Perfect Fit: Bolted right up to the engine block without any shimmying or modification needed.
Strong Crank: The motor sounds powerful and turns the engine over significantly faster than my old, dying unit. Once hooked up, the car fired up instantly on the first turn of the key. No grinding, no clicking, just a smooth, high-torque start.
Price: A lot more cheaper then your average auto parts stores.
Build Quality: The solenoid connections are solid and the threads were clean.
Packaging: The box arrived on time but a bit beat up, but the starter itself was well-protected in bubble wrap and undamaged.

Still working great!!
I really didn't have a good feeling about ordering a starter online, but I was in a situation where I didn't have the time to get to the auto shop before my day off and Amazon could get me this part just in time. So I reluctantly gave it a shot.
When it showed up it had a couple of small black pieces of plastic loose in the box similar to the pieces shown in another review on here. It didn't look like they from anything functional. I really needed to get my wife's car running so decided to install it anyways.
The install was easy and it was a perfect fit. The only draw back would be that the signal wire didn't click in place like the signal wire on the original starter. But it was a snug fit.
It has been installed and working great for a month now. Very happy with my purchase.
It also had a message from the seller when I opened the box giving the starter a 2 year warranty. Very cool.
If the starters fails in the next two years I'll get on here and edit my review. So if your reading this then it is still working great.
