The Connelly Shadow is the boot with comfort and freedom at the forefront of their mind, allowing for plenty of control from boot to ski. With a lycra toe and heel wrap, the Shadow provides a snug fit, but combine it with the plush EVA footbed, and you get a complete and comfortable package around your foot. Connelly produced their signature superlight baseplate to reduce weight so that you can maximise your performance with less weight underneath your foot and with a shorter cuff for added freedom.
Waterski Features
Rocker
- Flat Spot - Underneath your front foot gives you comfort and stability while also propping you up higher on a platform for control throughout your entire motion from cut to turn.
- Continuous Rocker - Through the tip and tail allows the ski to always provide a constant level of speed across the wash and allows for a smooth, comfortable turn, drive through the wash, while still having the ability to easily keep that speed into your leading edge.

Core
- Closed Cell PU Core – The most well-known core in waterskiing, with a tighter knit construction to reduce weight while remaining durable and providing a slightly softer feel meaning you can ski for longer, feeling less tired, while also getting more flex into turns and less rebound when crossing the wash
Laminates
- Fibreglass Laminates – The most forgiving top layer you can get, a simple fibreglass laminate allows the ski to provide a comfortable flex and smooth arcing turns.
Shape
- Variable Bevel - A sharper bevel through to the front binding of the ski that transitions to a round bevel in the tail allows the ski provides lift and speed in the nose across the wash, while the tail provides suction for tight turns for the apex of your cut or around the buoy
- C.A.P.T. (Connelly Advanced Profile Technology) - The original profiled construction, allowing skis to reduce weight and specifically tailor a flex pattern to various points in the ski
Concave
- Full Edge to Edge Concave - a full concave throughout the whole width of the ski creates a fluid motion and greatly supports your cut, giving you the ability to solely focus on where you want to place the ski.
- V-Tech - A greater angled V-shaped step that reduces drag and resistance on the water while also providing directed water flow, so now you can get even deeper into those turns without the worry of losing your edge

A book covering most of the aspects of digital forensics

In my opinion, this book is really well written with a flowing and progressing layout. The chapters build up from the basics of digital forensics walking through all the core concepts up until specialized areas of digital forensics such as dead box forensics , network investigations, and online and #OSINT investigations.
Not only does the book give comprehensive information on all the key aspects of digital forensics such as searching, analyzing, acquiring, and securing digital evidence but it also provides its readers a taste of how it is like conducting digital forensics examinations in a professional setting such as law enforcement.
Piecing together theoretical knowledge with the professional settings the knowledge will be utilized in, the author made sure to include key details such as the different types of graphical evidence examiners may encounter such as child sexual assault, the importance of chain of custody if the case were to go to trial, forensically sound examination environments and how you must maintain control of the environment and much more.
Not only does the book cover in detail the foundations of digital forensics but it also covers some of the advanced topics such as RAM forensics, internet evidence, cloud computing, and OSINT investigations. These topics build on the foundations discussed earlier in the book and are very critical as real-life cases usually encompass most of these intricacies. Understanding what evidence may be discovered in each of these locations and how to use the tools are very critical for a successful career as a digital forensic analyst.
Report writing is often overlooked but actually is the most important aspect in digital forensics. The last two chapters are a must-read for everyone in this field. The author discusses writing credible reports and ensuring they are peer-reviewed along with ethics.
This was a welcome read, being so many want to get into this space and are unaware of the atrocities they may find. Whether you're just starting out in computer forensics or want to expand your knowledge of digital forensics. This is an excellent addition to your reading list.

Essential Forensics Book
Format: Paperback
I am impressed with the broad range of topics that this book covers. I came out of a Cybersecurity program with a Digital Forensics specialization, so I did have networking knowledge. I looked for resources after graduation to help fill the gaps (courses, books, and tool manuals) in my understanding of the space where networking and forensics meet and found the coverage to be lacking. This book would have helped to tie the two together for me in an easy to read presentation. I am glad that I have read it now though and will keep it as a resource. I bought two more copies to give to current Digital Forensics students that I am mentoring:) Well done on this one!
