Yin and Yang Pigment Bundle – Light & Shadow in Perfect Balance

Bring harmony to your artwork with our Yin and Yang Pigment Bundle, a sophisticated collection of black, white, and shimmering metallic pigments that celebrate the balance of contrast, light, and energy. This bundle is ideal for artists who love dramatic compositions, monochrome palettes, or elegant metallic accents.

This bundle includes four full-size pigments:

  • Titanium White (25g)– A clean, opaque white that adds highlights, dimension, and softness.

  • PowerPearl (Metallic) (20g)– A luminous pearl pigment that adds radiance and iridescent shine.

  • Antique Grey Silver (Metallic) (16g)– A sophisticated silver with aged undertones for a vintage or industrial feel.

  • Black (40g)– A bold, deep black for grounding, contrast, and definition.

Powercolor pigments are artist-grade, highly concentrated powder pigments that blend beautifully with Powertex Universal Medium, Easy Varnish, and other mixed media products. Whether you’re dry-brushing sculptures, mixing your own paints, or adding detail to textured surfaces, these neutral shades are a must-have in any artist's toolkit. From minimalist designs to mystical abstracts, this set encourages creative flow through contrast and subtle metallic magic.

Great for: monochrome textures, dry-brushing, metallic highlights, and spiritual or symbolic pieces.
🌟 Artist-quality, highly pigmented, and long-lasting.

Churchill's "wilderness years" at Chartwell were perhaps the "important years" in preparing him.
Format: Hardcover
A brilliant idea for a new perspective on Churchill, and an even better execution. The author literally examines the guestbook over a ten-year period at Chartwell, Churchill's country home. Not only are the names of the guests fascinating, but the subjects of their discussions are eyebrow-raising in multitudes of ways. From Einstein to German spies, from politicians to celebrities, Churchill was not only busy maintaining connections he deemed useful, but his efforts to stay well-informed were Herculean. He did not hold an elected office during these "wilderness years," but he dictated volumes of books (no doubt improving his oratory skill), built brick walls, gardened, painted, and traveled like his life depended on it. It is fascinating to gain these new insights into the man. Depressed by his recent failure to be re-elected, he went to work instead of retiring. He imposed upon himself a strict diet of information protein, personal network building, philosophical expansion, and extraordinary production. All the visitors, discussions, and interactions ultimately resulted in the most fantastic preparation imaginable for a man destined to lead his country as Prime Minister during the greatest war the world has ever known. I found the book extremely well-written yet easy to read, finishing it in just two days.

Excellent pre WW2 Churchill primer.
Format: Hardcover
This author has done an excellent job of explaining the role Churchill played in preparing Britain for WW2 despite being out of government for most of the 1930’s. The author is a curator and historian who has managed the collections at Chartwell, Churchill’s home during that time. Very well researched and easy to read. Anyone who studies 20th Century European history needs to read this book.

Book for Churchill fans
Format: Hardcover
Not an introduction to Churchill but fills out a period of his life that is often overlooked. Some fascinating insights into people who visited Chartwell. I really enjoyed this book, but it's not for everyone.

An excellent addition to the library of books about the life of Churchill.
Format: Hardcover
Excellent story of Churchill's years in the wilderness, warning of the growing threat of Nazi Germany from 1932 to the early of the war. Thoroughly researched and well written, given the complexities of what was going on contemporaneously.

Just like the PBS series....
Format: Hardcover
This book is a step, or two, deeper into the 'wilderness years' than the PBS series by the same name. But frankly, the series, available on YouTube, is a better buy (it's free) for the money and quite entertaining due to its great casting with folks like Robert Hardy, Sian Phillips, and Eric Porter. But, if you're a reader, this book is worth the effort and cost.
