How does the Rhea PR-442 compare to the Golden Dione PR-446?

Both are Golden infinite-position chairs with 4-zone MaxiComfort positioning, power headrest and lumbar, and battery backup. What does the AutoDrive hand control actually do?

The AutoDrive is Golden's programmable hand control — it stores up to two complete positioning combinations so you can return to your preferred sitting and reclining positions with a single button press rather than adjusting each zone individually every time. For example: program your TV-watching position (footrest slightly raised, back at 30 degrees, headrest angled forward) and your napping position (full recline, feet at heart level, headrest back) — then reach either with one touch. The control docks in the right armrest storage compartment when not in use so it is always in the same place.

The wall clearance seems high — is 25–30 inches typical?

The Rhea requires more wall clearance than many lift chairs — 25" for Medium and 30" for Large — because of the depth of the full recline and the design of the overstuffed back. Some lift chairs are specifically engineered as "wall-hugger" models that pivot forward as they recline, needing as little as 14–16 inches. The Rhea is not a wall-hugger. Measure the space from your intended wall to where the back of the chair will sit before ordering and confirm you have sufficient clearance.
