Memphis spouses Nonconnah’s inspired mix of drone, shoegaze, ambient field recordings, and cloaked pop affections sonically carpet your psyche and fill the voids you didn’t know were there as if they were a craving you’ve carried with you for ages, finally sated. You may not move to this music, but it will change you like rain on a withered meadow.

“The latest Tennessee duo Nonconnah immerses the listener in a sepia-toned, wood-paneled moment when our current era of hyper mediation was still in its infancy; of corduroy couch cushions, analog gaming consoles and televangelists bleating through nocturnal static. On ‘An Escape From Doomscroll Valley’, a child’s voice enthuses about angels. Later, on the lengthy ‘When They Opened Their Mouths They Sounded Like Shrieking Birds’, a woman makes lofty spiritual claims over sombre strings, revealing the poignancy of the desire to transcend fragile human conditions. Album closer ‘…Like Some Distant Star Collapsing’ aestheticises self-erasure: a tone cloaked in distortion so fuzzy it disappears.” -The Wire

"Despite the changes in instrumentation, there’s an internal consistency to the work of Nonconnah. Their music conflates past and present while looking toward a future that may or may not involve spiritual apocalypse. Legends intermingle with fantastic imaginings, pre-recorded music with live instrumentation. While old cassettes are a primary part of the LP mix, Magpie leaves a new voice mail on an analogue tape recorder. The album ends with “…Like Some Distant Star Collapsing,” which starts with the album’s loudest drone, but finishes with a train whistle and a serenade of strings and bells. In execution and in theory, it sounds like coming home." - A Closer Listen

“…a fantasy-like hybridised version of psychedelia…droning soundscapes, eerie voiceovers and field recordings that take the listener on a voyage to the outer limits…diesel-fueled drones that make the heart explode. Alongside synths that rain glitter from the skies…wholesome, panoramic walls of noise that undulate and cascade, ducking and weaving through the orbits. It’s these large-hearted moments of sonic defiance that feed into a sparkling ambience…oscillating between ethereal bliss and a storm of sound…it’s an exploration of sound that reaches out into the unknown, and during a time when the world feels like it’s about to implode, Nonconnah Vs. The Spring of Deception feels like the soundtrack to a different place altogether.” - Sun 13

“The duo Nonconnah…has often delighted us on these pages. When genre terms such as drone, post-rock, ambient or shoegaze are used in descriptions (or attempts at descriptions), then at first glance these are stakes that seem to mark out the terrain in which the duo from Memphis moves quite well. However, these ultimately only partially manage to adequately describe the very unique sound of Nonconnah…This is music that seems to come from the ether as well as from the shortwave radio.” - African Paper

Best foam soap refill if you use the right soap dispenser
Scent: Rosewater (2 Pack), Scent: Rosewater (2 Pack)
Nice and foamy (pic shows foam dispensed at level 1 bc my kids wash their hands a lot..level 4 looks like whipped cream!) Lovely rose scent. Hands actually feel soft afterwards. Works better than I expected. This *foaming* soap specifically needs a *foaming soap dispenser*. It specifically says that on the back of the package. So for those complaining it’s a liquid and stays liquid, perhaps you’re using just a regular pump container. This soap will be my go-to to refill my automatic foaming soap dispenser. Highly recommend.

most convenient refill system
Scent: Ocean Breeze (2 Pack), Scent: Ocean Breeze (2 Pack)
I have been a fan of J.R. Watkins for a while, but these foaming hand soap refills have really sold me on the brand. I get compliments from guests almost every time they use the guest bathroom. The refill process is incredibly easy and mess-free. The spout is designed perfectly so you don't end up with wasted soap running down the side of the bottle, which has been a frustration of mine with other brands. The foam itself is rich and it doesn't just turn into water the second you rub your hands together. I love that I can reuse my dispensers while saving money and reducing plastic waste by buying the larger refill pouches. If you enjoy a high-quality foaming lather and an upscale scent, this is a perfect 5-star household staple.

Good hand soap for the price
Scent: Lemon
Great value for the price. The lemon scent smells fresh and clean without being overpowering, and the foaming soap works really well. I like that it’s alcohol-free and made with plant-based cleansers, so it feels gentle on the hands and doesn’t dry them out. The 2-pack refill size lasts a long time, which makes it even more worth it. Overall, a good buy for everyday use.

The best foaming soap. Doesn't dry out my hands
Scent: Lemon
I wash my hands many times a day and found that every other foaming soap I used was drying out my hands pretty bad. I found this at Target one day and gave it a try. No more dry hands! I bought a couple Oxo foaming soap dispensers and have been using this soap for a couple years now. The lather is thick and the soap cleans my hands well without drying them out...which was a major problem with every brand I tried previously. It also smells good, but not strong (I usually buy fragrance-free products, but this doesn't bother me at all).

Rinses beautifully without drying or residue.
Scent: Rosewater (2 Pack)
The people who post videos of the refill soap being "pure water" apparently don't realize the soap also needs the FOAMING soap dispenser in order to turn this soap into foaming soap. God Bless America! Yes, these items almost always leak when shipped, but usually not enough to return the item. The best scents are Lemon, Desert Rose, Peppermint, and Rosewater. I have been using these lightly scented foaming soaps for almost two decades. They clean and rinse beautifully with no residue. Perfect for my OCD. They never dry my hands out in the winter, regardless of how many times I wash. The refill bottles are usually an excellent value when on sale. Highly recommended! This foaming soap specifically needs a foaming soap dispenser. It specifically says that on the back of the package. For those complaining it’s a liquid and stays liquid, perhaps you’re using just a regular pump container.
