This Les Paul recreates one of the world’s rarest guitars. It has a sweet, thick, mellow tone, an irresistible aged gold-top finish, and a rounded neck profile that nails every guitar fan’s dream of the perfect ’50s playing feel. It’s a Les Paul that will take player and collector straight to that hallowed year all those decades ago.
As always, its distinctive patina and individual marks have been artfully recaptured by Gibson Custom's expert aging team. Collector's Choice #12 is offered in a Limited run of up 300, with qualifying materials determining the final run size.
The guitar’s two Custom Bucker S pickups have been recreated to the exact specs and materials of the original PAFs in the original guitar, and exhibit a slightly lighter wind than average, resulting in outstanding definition and clarity, yet plenty of thickness and body.
Other spec highlights include its 1-piece Mahogany body, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard with 12” radius, Kluson Deluxe tuners, Nickel aged hardware, and bumble bee capacitors. It weighs just 8lb 15oz and plays beautifully.
This is a special guitar that will appreciate in value in the years to come. It comes complete with its paperwork, collectors choice COA and original Custom Shop case to keep your investment protected. This guitar has had one Tone Pot replaced by Andertons in Guildford shortly after it was bought and kept in our personal collection.
