Zigzag topstitching secures the band to the front panel. Additional topstitching is found along the edges and seams of the classic Bible cover. An exterior slip pocket on the back panel is handy for storing notes, bulletins, or even a thin notebook. This pocket is heat-debossed with the whole verse taken from the NIV.

The cover closes securely with a navy blue zipper that sports an antique gold metal zipper pull fitted with a navy blue faux leather tab. Antique gold metal handle hardware is used to secure a lay-flat spine handle that folds completely flat when the cover is open. On the inside of the cover are two slip pockets that will hold the covers of your Bible and two pen loops for pens, pencils, or highlighters. For your convenience, two ribbon markers are attached to the spine, a red ribbon marker for the New Testament and a black one for the Old Testament.
