How does the leather age?
From day one to day 100, the leather transforms. Daily handling buffs scuffs and fingerprints into a deep, lustrous patina that's unique to your usage pattern. By six months in, your case will look distinctly broken-in and exclusively yours — that's the appeal of full-grain leather over treated finishes.
Is the leather sustainable?
Yes. Nomad sources from tanneries that use byproduct hides from the food industry, vegetable-based tanning processes, and Leather Working Group-certified facilities. It's not vegan, but it is one of the most ethically sourced leathers available.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry microfiber for daily cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol — they'll dry out the leather. Occasional conditioning with leather balm extends the life and deepens the patina. Don't worry about water spots; they dry out and blend into the patina.
What's the difference vs the Horween version?
Both are full-grain leather. The Horween-specific case uses leather from the iconic Chicago tannery and tends to develop more dramatic colour shifts over time. This version uses Nomad's sustainably sourced leather — slightly less character, but lower price and similar feel.
Does MagSafe charging work as fast as on a bare phone?
Yes. The 800–1100 gf magnetic force exceeds Apple's MagSafe spec, so charging speed and accessory alignment are identical to a bare iPhone.

Lil boy's favorite ball

The squeak gets my little boy every time. The glow factor is under par. I mainly get it because he also enjoys the brighter colors. All of the others be trying to get his ball. Good product just wish it would glow better because our park times are right around sunset.

The glow doesn’t last long, not super bright.

I charge my glow in the dark balls with a black light flashlight, this one was not very bright, and it did not hold the charge very long. Also, with it being green, it was hard for my dog to find in the grass.
