Wild Earth Central Otago Pinot Noir 2017"Commercial diver and lover of Central Otago, Quintin Quider was initially drawn to Stewart Island from his native Southern California. It was challenge of winemaking that took him the final step from Stewart Island to Bannockburns Felton Road and the establishment of Wild Earth Wines. Their first vintage was in 2004, but it wasn't until 2008 that the name Wild Earth started to resonate as a quality Pinot Noir to watch, winning trophies for their 2006

"Commercial diver and lover of Central Otago, Quintin Quider was initially drawn to Stewart Island from his native Southern California. It was challenge of winemaking that took him the final step from Stewart Island to Bannockburn’s Felton Road and the establishment of Wild Earth Wines. Their first vintage was in 2004, but it wasn't until 2008 that the name Wild Earth started to resonate as a quality Pinot Noir to watch, winning trophies for their 2006 Pinot Noir. The bouquet is very seductive with black fruit, thyme, elegant cedar oak and subtle mushroom complexity.  Velvety with concentration and layers of dark fruit flavour, the tannins are fine, supple and silky with a long persistent finish. A great wine for any occasion, especially one that involves friends, family and food" Jim Harre, Premium New Zealand Wine Selection 2019

"Delicious now, but also ageworthy, this is a single-vineyard, Bannockburn red, hand-picked and matured for a year in French oak (27% new). Full, bright ruby, it is a powerful, young, sweet-fruited and savoury, with a fragrant, slightly earthy bouquet and fresh, deep cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, combining charm and complexity" Winestate Magazine, Jun 2019

"It is fabulously fruited and gorgeously expressed on the nose showing dark cherry, sweet plum, floral, vanilla and roasted nut characters with a touch of mushroom complexity. The palate is wonderfully weighted and supple, delivering layers of fine texture and delectable flavours, superbly structured by fine, polished tannins" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2019

"A single vineyard wine from the Bannockburn subregion. A pleasing and quite complex mix of cherry and plum with fresh herb, violet and wild thyme characters. A bright, elegant, moderately concentrated Pinot Noir with a slightly rustic edge" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jun 2019

Deep garnet colour with intense aromas of cherry, blackberry, cedar, wild thyme, mushroom and earthy loam. The cooler 2017 vintage has delivered a wine with tremendous concentration and a remarkable core with layers of dark red fruit wild herb and distinctive earthy flavours complementing a richly textured palate. Silky fine tannins, vibrant fruit and intense aromas complement a serious structure with so much finesse. Harmonious and rich, this Pinot is drinking beautifully as a young wine and should continue to deliver enjoyment for 12+ years.

A cooler growing season with more spring frosts gave us lower crops with smaller bunches leading to a highly concentrated, deeply coloured Pinot Noir with great acidity and a long finish. The cooler season and relatively dry harvest period kept the grapes disease free and in great balance.

This wine is a single vineyard Pinot Noir from a highly awarded site in Bannockburn. The fruit was hand harvested at optimal ripeness with harvest dates ranging from early to late April 2017. Seven ferments went into the blend ranging from 0-50% whole bunches per fermenter with the resulting blend having around 25% whole clusters which aids the tannin structure and aromatics of the wine. The total time on skins ranging from 3 to 4 weeks. The wine was aged in fine grain French Oak: 27% new, 33% 1 year old and 40% 2-5 year old barriques for approximately 12 months. The winemaking intention was for transparency in order to showcase the great personality of this Bannockburn site in a vintage that is truly elegant and graceful.

Likeable characters, but only 75% complete story
Format: Kindle
I really liked the characters introduced, but the author didn’t fully conceptualize everything. We know Lila works long hours, but despite being a college graduate we never learn anything about what she does, where she works, how much she gets paid, etc. For an omega who seemed to be able to support herself, that seemed an unusual oversight. We learn absolutely nothing about what she wants in life, either. Is she just surviving the post-college life struggle or working up to her dream job? Fiona the flamingo had more detail than some of the main characters, but she was 10/10 as good as Wendy for a side character. — spoilers ahead —- Separately, some of the plot details were contradictory, or just missing. On one page Lila and Larry were together for 18 months, on another it was 4 years. When did she even move in with him? What did she do while he was gaming? How long were she and Wendy friends for Lila to trust her like that but not know much about her? And why didn’t Lila’s alphas sue Larry to reduce Lila’s debt? Shopping seemed a weird choice pamper her without knowing more about Lila’s debt and plans to reduce it. And her alphas never even ask anything about her job, but she’s The One. Such a frustrating relationship plot hole. We never even learn anything about the alphas’ families or what they want in life either. I wish the author had written about 30 more pages fleshing out the details and showing how the alphas were just as in love with Lila’s personality as they were with her scent and body. Loved the concept, but I still feel like I read 3/4 of a book.

It's mid
Format: Kindle
There's a cute story there. The guys are sweet, but... I don't know. It's very vanilla. Not just the mediocre spicy scenes, but the whole story. It's just ok.

Short, cute, straight to the point
Format: Kindle
This is the type of fast pace stories I love to read. I felt nothing felt incomplete. Everything went together. Loved the men loved the best friend and the Fmc. Definitely would recommend this book.

Fun, Steamy, and Just Enough Depth
Format: Kindle
I liked this book — it was cute, short, and exactly what I expected from a quick Omegaverse read. While it doesn’t dive too deeply into character development, there was enough personality and backstory sprinkled in to keep the relationships believable and engaging, especially given the length. What I really appreciated was that the focus stayed on the main characters and their connection. The heat, the banter, and the romance were front and center without getting bogged down in unnecessary drama. It made for an easy, enjoyable read that flowed smoothly from start to finish. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. There was a teaser blurb at the end, but it isn’t up on Amazon yet — hopefully it’ll be posted soon so I can add it to my wish list.

Good But
Format: Kindle
A little disjointed at times, at least to me. This was about Lila (omega woman) and Harrison, Wesley and River (alpha males). The main characters were likeable, as was Lila's friend, Wendy. Lila finally wised up and left the alpha she had been with for a couple of years because he was an a-hole, who treated and used her horribly. She knew some, if not all, of the guys from college if I remember correctly. The guys had been looking for an omega to bond with for some time. When Lila saw Harrison again, the other two guys were out on a date with another omega but Harrison refused to go because he didn't like her. He saw Lila again and knew she was the omega they had been searching for. However, it wasn't easy for them to convince Lila of that because of the way her ex-alpha treated her. The sex was hot. There was one inconsistency. I could almost swear that when Lila first saw Harrison again, she told her best friend, Wendy, that Harrison was the lead for his pack. Then later on when she's spending time with River, she thinks he is the pack's lead. Maybe I read something incorrectly. All in all, a good story.
