Luna Estate Martinborough Pinot Noir 2017Cherry Rose Baking spice Full bodied, firm finish "A pretty, floral and fruity bouquet with aromas of rose and red apple, cherry and plum, brown baking spices and some wood smoke. Equally enticing on the palate with more raspberry and strawberry flavours, abundant fine tannins and acidity to match more baking spice and silty mineral suggestions. Balanced with ageing potential. Best from late 2019 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Jun 2019 "Soft, subtle

"Soft, subtle and delicately aromatic pinot noir in an elegant, supple style with red cherry, raspberry, red rose and a suggestion of fresh herb flavours. An accessible wine with personality and appealing purity" Bob Campbell, Jun 2019

"Offering top value, the 2017 vintage (4*) was made for early enjoyment, but is ageworthy too. Matured for a year in French oak casks (10 per cent new), it is ruby hued and full-bodied, with strong, ripe, berryish, plummy, spicy flavours and a savoury, moderately firm finish" Michael Cooper, Jun 2019

Clear, bright ruby colour. Complex array of high toned red fruit aromas, ripe cherry, raspberry, cranberry with lifted floral notes, undertones of fine spice, savoury herb and quality oak. Juicy, youthful and vibrant fruit driven palate. Super smooth and supple with delicate and fine fruity tannins complimenting a balanced spine of acidity. Pure cherry flavours with some sweet oak notes evident on the finish. Drinking very nicely in its’ youth. Very moreish. Cellar with confidence for 3-5 years.

A cooler and wetter than average spring and summer meant challenging conditions throughout the growing season. Fruit set was excellent and good spring rains delivered healthy canopy growth. Disease pressure was high, particularly powdery mildew. The vineyard team worked extra hard this season ensuring that in the end excellent quality fruit was harvested, albeit in small quantities.

A blend of fruit harvested form both of the winemakers vineyards, however majority coming from the younger plantings at the Blue rock vineyard. Majority Dijon clones 777, 667 114 and 115 also UCD 5 and Abel. Average vine age of around 15 years. Majority of fruit is de-stemmed, around 5 % fermented whole cluster. Fermentation takes place mostly in 6 ton open top fermenters. Handled lightly, with 2 - 3 plunges per day. Total maceration time is between 14 – 20 days. Post pressing the wine is run off into a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques and puncheons. Maturation in barrel for 12 months. Unfined and lightly filtered prior to bottling.

One of the best, most practical, and well written books on Black Liberation!
Format: Paperback
So good that I am creating a book club for young (teenagers) POC. Very good book that is pro-Black without being anti-Anyone. I love the approach: you can love your race and promote it without also enslaving or attacking others. I am enjoying the read immensely and will be buying other books by the author. It's a really easy read, and arranged in a way that makes it easy to use for lesson planning and discussion.
