Formation & Characteristics
Red Phantom Quartz develops when deposits of iron oxide coat the exterior of quartz points and are progressively overgrown by quartz, creating an internal phantom illusion. In this specimen, strong phantom inclusions appear within several points, with hematite specks visible on multiple facets. The crystal remains natural and unaltered, exhibiting a small cluster morphology typical of high-grade examples from this deposit. The colour reads as deep purple in standard lighting, with variations under different light conditions.
