“Right around the completion of ‘Relapses,’ Jimmy (Watson, drums) & Drew (Slavik, guitar) had the idea of doing a collaborative split, which ultimately became an amalgamation of musical chairs and a social experiment. After several months of hurdles preventing anything from really taking off, we finally sorted out the exact details of the project & resolved to collaborate with our colleagues and friends in Meth.
Our guidelines were as follows:
Each band would write & record three songs, & then share only the drum tracks with the other band. Each band would then write new music and lyrics over the exchanged tracks. Neither band would hear anything from the other until everything was complete to ensure one couldn’t influence the other. In the end, we were astonished at what we had all accomplished. We’re thrilled & proud to present, ‘ASYMETRICS’.” -See You Next Tuesday
