At the risk of being directive, I would say you should buy this book. It contains some of the most stimulating and refreshing ideas to have emerged in the person-centred literature since On Becoming a Person ′- Person Centred Practice Person-Centred Therapy Today makes a timely and significant contribution to the development of one of the most popular and widely-used therapeutic approaches. This is a book that is rooted in the origins of person-centred therapy but stands at the cutting edge of new ideas developing in this tradition. It will reinvigorate those of us already immersed in this tradition. It should convince newcomers of the vitality and potential of this approach to therapy′ - Tim Bond, University of Bristol This book is clearly a labour of love by two authors with unique abilities and unparalleled experience: readers will be educated, inspired and encouraged in their own dialogue with the person-centred approach′- Charles J. O′Leary, Denver Colorado Mearns and Thorne have done Rogers proud in suggesting how person-centred theory and practice can, without losing its essence, evolve in new directions′ - Richard Nelson-Jones, Director, Cognitive Institute, Chiang Mai, Thailand Dave Mearns and Brian Thorne are well known internationally as leading experts and authors of the bestselling Person-Centred Counselling in Action, a classic text which has been the cornerstone of training in the approach for over a decade. Written in the same vivid and engaging style, Person-Centred Therapy Today explores what it means to be person-centred′ in the twenty-first century and outlines key philosophical challenges to the approach. The authors robustly answer critics who have labelled person-centred therapy westernised′, unmanly′ and anti-intellectual′. The book breaks new ground in presenting the authors′ reworking of Carl Rogers′ theory of the Self, an innovation which has been years in the making and has implications for both theory and practice. Central to the book are two chapters which describe how the Self is constructed as a collection of different parts or configurations′. Using vivid examples chosen from their own practice, Dave Mearns and Brian Thorne show how this theory contributes directly to the therapist′s understanding and interactions with clients. Person-Centred Therapy Today represents a significant contribution to the development of the person-centred approach. It will be read by teachers and students of counselling and psychology who wish to keep their knowledge of the approach fully up-to-date and by all who consider themselves to be person-centred in their approach to helping clients.Shipping Notes

Not the same rubber.
I just received these today. I already have two of the same size direct from the local pet store. The one thing I liked about them that made me want to buy more - my 13lb dog could chew on them all night and never leave a mark. The red one I received was as expected. The blue one I received was not made out of the same rubber. It was softer. We played catch a few times and it didn’t bounce the same. I looked away for 5 minutes and she had it already starting to shred. Not sure what happened but 1 of the 2 balls I was sent was not up to par, possibly defective.

Best Balls Ever!!!
Size: Medium
These are the best balls ever! We have 2 very active ball loving dogs and these bounce very well and they actually hold up with active play and chewing. They still look brand new after daily use for months!

Finally a ball my power chewers cannot destroy
Size: Medium
I have two dogs, an American Bully and an American Pit Bull Terrier, and both of them love to chew. Most balls last a very short time around here before they are shredded or missing big chunks. This one has actually held up. They chase it, tug on it and sit and chew on it, and it is still in one piece with no pieces breaking off.
One of my favorite things is being able to put food inside. I add some kibble or small snacks, and they will happily sit and work on it for a long time. It keeps them busy, gives them something safe to chew, and they get a little reward while they play. When they are done, I just rinse it out and it is ready to go again.
If you have strong jawed dogs that usually destroy toys, this ball is worth trying. Mine really enjoy it and I feel better knowing they finally have a ball that can keep up with them.

My dog LOVES this ball

Does your dog destroy tennis balls in seconds?
Yes? Then your dog NEEDS this ball!
It's squishy like a tennis ball, fits in ball launchers (even the cheap ones) and bounces when it hits the ground.
My dog has been literally playing with this ball all day and not a single mark on it!
The only bad thing is that it does not float.
Definitely worth the money!
Put it in your cart!
