COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Mastering Emotional Intelligence at Work course. This program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to understand the elements of emotional intelligence, assess how emotional capability differs from traditional Intelligence Quotient (IQ), and apply emotional intelligence effectively within contemporary workplaces. You will explore what emotional intelligence means, why it matters, and how it influences communication, teamwork, leadership, decision-making, and overall organisational culture. The course also examines the relationship between emotional intelligence and social intelligence, highlighting how both contribute to effective interpersonal functioning.

This course begins by examining the major models of emotional intelligence, including the EI Ability Model, the EI Trait Model, and the EI Mixed Model. You will explore how temperament functions as a driving force behind emotional intelligence, supported by insights from neuroscience that explain how emotional processing, personality traits, and behavioural tendencies interact. This section also introduces the four categories of temperamental traits and their relevance to workplace behaviour, motivation, engagement, and stress response.

You will then explore the practical implications of emotional intelligence, examining why EI is essential in the workplace and what happens in environments where EI is lacking. You will explore Daniel Goleman’s EI model and evaluate how emotional intelligence helps organisations improve teamwork, empathy, productivity, and workplace politics. This section also highlights how EI contributes to the modern work environment by promoting trust, collaboration, job satisfaction, and stronger professional relationships.

A further component focuses on developing emotional intelligence, providing a structured approach to learning EI skills and cultivating long-term behavioural change. You will examine how to increase emotional self-awareness in the workplace, how to strengthen self-management of emotions, and how to practice empathy effectively. This section also explores how to deliver artful critique, practice humility, boost motivation for exceptional performance, and develop social skills that support high-level workplace contribution.

The course also examines body language and emotional intelligence, demonstrating how physical cues influence interpretation, trust, and interpersonal connection. You will explore emotional intelligence in teams, including how to deal with emotions of individual team members, the collective emotional climate of groups, and the emotions of external groups or stakeholders. This section also addresses EI’s connection to brand equity and customer relationship management, emphasising how emotionally intelligent organisations strengthen customer loyalty, responsiveness, and service quality.

Another learning area explores empathy, social intelligence, and impression management, beginning with the difference between empathy and sympathy and why empathy is foundational to emotional intelligence. You will examine how to be more empathetic, how to assess your own level of social intelligence, and the key elements that define socially intelligent behaviour. This section also explores how to be an effective listener, why strong impression management skills matter professionally, and how socially intelligent behaviours foster engagement and influence within teams and leadership contexts.

The final part of the course focuses on continuous development of emotional intelligence, including how to work on your own EI systematically and why communication skills are essential in maintaining emotional credibility and professional impact. You will explore strategies for refining your interpersonal presence, strengthening collaboration, and building an emotionally intelligent reputation that supports long-term career advancement and workplace success.

By the end of this course, you will be able to understand the core elements of emotional intelligence, apply EI models in workplace contexts, develop emotional awareness and regulation, enhance empathy and social skills, manage team emotions effectively, and integrate emotional intelligence into communication, leadership, customer engagement, and organisational culture.

Good shelves for the price can be challenging to install correctly
Size: 16 Inch, Color: White, Size: 16 Inch, Color: White
Good quality shelves for the price. Happy with the purchase. They give you assorted hardware to mount each shelf. Wall anchors for masonry or brick and anchors for drywall as well as screws to affix shelf to the wall bracket. The installation was fairly easy but it can be a bit difficult to get the bracket leveled on the wall. The “level” they give you is useless, it is only the tube - not in a housing, so 1 1/2” long. You will need a better level. Basically you place the bracket where you want the shelf to go then make sure it is level and take a pencil to mark the holes. We ended up using a heavier quality wall anchor so only needed 2 anchors instead of the four they send you. Once the bracket is on, slide the shelf onto the bars coming from the bracket and use the 2 set screws to secure it in place. Check for level and if it isn’t you can remove shelf and loosen bracket screws and wiggle the bracket while still attached while retightening screws. We had to re-level one of our shelves this way. Hope this helps and that it makes sense. As for weight capacity I wouldn’t want to put more than a couple of pounds on a shelf. As it is secure, it is hollow inside and too much weight would probably either cause the shelf to sag or damage your wall

My bathroom renovation is turning out great. These shelves are beautifully stable and show no visible assembly. The idea of these floating shelves is brilliant.

Excellent quality shelves. All hardware came with them and also the stickers to cover the screws. I also placed a plant on one of the shelves and it’s not leaning and again very nice and secure.
