Why add the ModRack Road Shower to my overland setup?

Convenience & Comfort:

At the end of a long day on the road or exploring the backcountry, the best thing in the world is to be able to take a warm shower. With aluminum construction and a black powder coat finish, our Road Shower is designed to absorb the heat of the sun and heat the water inside, so you can do just that!

The shower nozzle is adjustable to different water pressures, so you can even customize your road shower to your preference. Or you can use the road shower to wash your dishes after a meal, bringing the convenience of a kitchen sink with you on the trail.

Ease-of-Use:

Wondering how to fill and pressurize the ModRack Road Shower? The shower tank is designed to make these steps quick and easy. Simply remove the fill cap and fill the road shower 3/4 of the way full with water from your garden hose or an alternative water source. The 1/4 of the tank that’s left empty allows for the pressurization.

To pressurize, just attach an air compressor hose to the air fill valve and fill until the pressure reaches a maximum of 40 PSI. You can do this with a portable air compressor if you have one on your rig, or you can use an air compressor at a gas station. Just make sure you go slowly so you don’t exceed 40 PSI. Reliability:

As a family of overlanders ourselves, we’ve experienced road showers that have failed us on the trail in multiple ways; shower attachment brackets breaking, road showers not heating up the water inside even with extended exposure to the hot sun, and shower nozzles that didn’t function properly. We set out to solve all the problems we had experienced with other road showers on the market when we designed the ModRack Road Shower.

1. Our Road Shower is securely bolted to either the ModRack Wedges or ModRack Octagon with stainless steel carriage bolts, so you can rest easy that even on the roughest terrain the tank will remain firmly in place. 
2. The durable aluminum construction is finished with a black powder coat that provides both added protection against rust and other forms of corrosion, and dependable heat absorption. So you can go about your adventures during the day and allow the heat of the sun to warm your shower water for you. 
3. Our shower nozzle provides that reliable and adjustable water flow that you’re looking for when you’re ready to wash off at the end of the day. You never have to worry about inconsistent pressure in the middle of washing shampoo out of your hair or washing dish soap off or your camp dishes.

NOTE: The Otzi ModRack Road Shower is designed to attach to (2) Otzi ModRack Wedge Mounting Brackets or the Otzi ModRack Octagon Tire Face Plate, not included. The ModRack Road Shower can be attached to other mounting surfaces but may require some drilling if the existing hole configuration doesn’t align with the road shower mounting points.
