Goya's Life: A Glimpse into the Mind of a Revolutionary Artist
Francisco Goya, born in 1746, lived during a time of great change in Spain. The Enlightenment brought new ideas about reason and science, yet superstition and fear of witchcraft still loomed large. Goya's work often reflected this tension, showcasing his unique perspective as he navigated the complexities of his era. His experiences, including his struggles with illness and political turmoil, deeply influenced his art, making him a pivotal figure in the transition from the Old Masters to modern expressionism. The Influence of Spanish Folklore and Witchcraft on Goya's Work
Goya drew inspiration from rich Spanish folklore, which was steeped in tales of witches and the supernatural. "Witches Sabbath" captures this fascination, presenting a vivid portrayal of a witch gathering. The painting reflects societal fears of the unknown and the dark aspects of human nature. This technique not only adds a three-dimensional quality but also evokes a sense of foreboding, making the painting feel alive with tension. The Symbolism of Colors: Black, Green, and Earthy Tones
The color palette in "Witches Sabbath" is striking and symbolic. Goya uses deep blacks to represent the unknown and fear, while greens suggest the supernatural and the otherworldly. My dogs new favorite toy!
Color: Blue
His new favorite toy! My dog absolutely loves it!!! It’s much bigger than I thought it would be so my dog has to be careful when he’s running with it because he will trip on the legs of the octopus. The best part is there is a little squeaker in the bottom of each leg! Bonus!!! If your dog chews up stuffed animals, this will be no different. It is a stuffed animal. My baby just likes to carry it around and squeak it a 1000 times a day. Don’t mind my crazy voice in the video. That’s the voice I use when he’s excited about a toy. He greets me every day with his octopus.🥰

Fun while they lasted
Color: Green
I ordered two. One for each pup. Both my puppies loved this toy. The first one lasted less than a day with my pup who loves to do the death shake on everything. The second lasted two days with the other as she chews in the same spot. They loved the crinkle noise. However, I'm taking one star away due to not lasting long. Everything else was fine and they enjoyed them while they lasted. Note that most toys do not last long with my pups.

The pooch is on Cloud No 9
Color: Blue
Lucky loves everything about this (blue) octopus. It has squeakers in all the right places and the crinkle sound adds to his fun. He’s almost 70lbs and extremely strong, and can be an aggressive player and chewer. So far, it has held up extremely well for the tug-of-war games and crazy shaking play. It’s well worth the money. I also want to mention that this toy is true to size. I have too often ordered dog toys that turned out to be much smaller than advertised.
