Harness the magic of the forest and go head-to-head with your rivals in this strategic deck-building game for 2 or 4 players. You’ll play as a powerful Sage, summoning warriors from the Twig, Leaf, Droplet, and Pebble factions and fighting to prove your prowess. As the battle continues, you’ll level up and gain access to extraordinary abilities and fierce new recruits. Protect your Sage at all costs and vanquish your opponents to earn the title of Master of the Elements!

How to Play

Your turn is divided into four phases:

Phase 1
During Phase I, you’ll use daybreak effects denoted on the cards in your formation! You may use those effects in any order during Phase I of your turn. If you continue to Phase II without using a daybreak effect, you may not use it later in your turn.

Phase 2
During Phase II, you'll have 4 Action Points (AP) to spend doing any of the following:
- Summon an Elemental from your hand to the formation
- Play a Command card from your hand
- Swap the positions of 2 connected Elementals in your formation
- Draw a card from your deck

As the game progresses, you'll be able to unlock special Faction Actions after you've defeated 4, 6, and 8 of your opponents Elementals! Faction Actions are powerful abilities that give you a leg up during the game.

Phase 3
During Phase III, you may use your gold to buy cards from the markets, sell cards to collect more gold, and refresh the markets.

Phase 4
During Phase IV, you’ll clean up your hand before ending your turn. Do this by discarding any number of cards from your hand, then draw from your deck until you have 5 cards in your hand. If you have more than 5 cards in your hand when you reach Phase IV of your turn, you must discard cards until you have no more than 5.

The game ends when your opponent's Sage has been defeated!

"It Depends"
Format: Paperback
Was a great read up until I decided to not enroll in law school, at which point I cast it aside. It gets very technical about how to write exams, how to think like a law school student. Might as well be called "It Depends," because lawyers are contextualists. Do you really want to go 200k in debt though? Or even 40k total debt at that safety school with the nice scholarships? Is there something you're trying to prove? It's all love on this end; I'm just trying to help you make the right decision, even if it puts you back at square one. Give computer science another shot. Or business analytics. Heck, even video editing! But if you really think law is suitable for you (and it may well be), then grab this book your 0L summer and crush 1L. You already know you're smart. Now you just have to work hard and take the right steps, which this book will outline for you. Also you can negotiate scholarship amounts if you have leverageable offers from peer schools. Good luck, lost girl/boy/zem.

Competitive Edge! Highly recommend!
Format: Paperback
This was one of the best investments I made before I started law school! I read this book July-August before my first semester. Even though I hadn’t taken any classes just yet, it provided me with a decent roadmap for approaching my classes while prioritizing strategy for my finals. I then reviewed the main points of each chapter, especially the last few chapters, in October to make sure I was preparing well with finals fast approaching. Long story short, this book gave my a competitive edge over many of my peers for every final I took! I finished my first semester with all As and in the top 2.5% of my class. Highly recommend! Do yourself a favor, start early, and always remember that the ultimate answer to many law school is exams is “maybe”

Gives a decent head start but it didn't and shouldn't have any impact on grades
Format: Paperback
Reading this book before school started had the benefit of getting me thinking about law and legal analysis. But it had no impact on my grades (I'm at or near the top of my class in all subjects and top overall). More importantly, it SHOULDN'T have any impact on one's grades. Attending the lectures, reading the cases, preparing your own outline, participating in class and seeking help from the professor when necesssary; THESE are the vital steps for success in law school. I gave up using commercial aids for one crucial reason: they distracted me from getting inside the head of the professor and really grasping the nature of the topic. People who try to take artificial shortcuts like using a commercial aid will never excel. If their intellect cannot naturally expedite the studying process, how could a quick summary give someone that special, incisive grasp of a topic? In such a case one would be better off doing all the assigned tasks properly and methodically. Disagree with me at your peril! To be fair, after reading this book, I was able to provide some clever answers in class during my first month at school. After that, I was so involved and interested in the assigned materials, I long surpassed what this book could offer.
