Bob Terzuola was one of the first to incorporate modern materials into his knife designs, pioneering the use of titanium as a go-to handle material—a rare and innovative choice at the time. Staying true to his visionary approach, this updated Mariner pairs titanium handles with a 3D-machined pocket clip featuring Bob’s signature dragon head logo. The blade has been upgraded to MagnaCut steel, a cutting-edge material known for its exceptional edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
Refined for Modern EDC
The Mariner 2 brings several updates to the original design, making it more functional for today’s carry. The blade length has been scaled down to 2.985" to comply with sub-3" knife laws. A titanium dovetailed thumb disc has been added for smoother operation, and a stainless steel insert liner lock provides a solid lockup. The slimmed-down profile and lightweight construction (just 3.58 oz) ensure this knife fits comfortably in your pocket without weighing you down.
A Nod to History
We worked hard to preserve the iconic aesthetic and legacy of the Mariner, down to the Mayan dragon head logo on the pocket clip, representing Etz Nab—the Mayan God of flint tools and edged tools. This modern iteration is not only a precision-engineered tool but also a tribute to the craftsmanship and ingenuity of its original designer.
