The Details

This one-time service upgrades your original E68 ECM (Global B generation only) and is required for tuning using HP Tuners’ software.

Users must physically remove their original E68 ECM from their vehicle and ship it to HP Tuners’ headquarters for servicing. Once upgraded, users have full access to calibrate, log, and scan via the OBDII port.

Note: No IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or “Replace ECM” function in VCM Scanner is required as long as the ECM returns to the same vehicle it came from.

Everything you need to tune your E68 ECM vehicle with HP Tuners:

1. This one-time, send-in GM E68 ECM Service (Global B) (upgrade service).
2. Download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA for free here.
3. Once upgraded, purchase (10) Universal Credits to license your E68 ECM/vehicle.

GM Global B vehicle support is only compatible with the MPVI4 interface.

Note: Universal Credits for licensing are not included in the cost of any upgrade service or purchase. Credits must be purchased separately.

Service Notes

• Your upgraded E68 ECM can only be tuned via the OBDII port with an MPVI4 interface and the latest version of VCM Suite (BETA).
• MPVI2, MPVI2+, and MPVI3 devices are NOT compatible with E68 Global B support. Only MPVI4 devices are compatible. 
• While the stock ECM is being serviced at HP Tuners, a spare ECM cannot be temporarily installed and relearned in the vehicle.
• Once upgraded, users must license their ECM for (10) Universal Credits (sold separately).
• Upon reinstallation, we recommend connecting to the latest version of VCM Scanner and reading/clearing DTCs.
• No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the ECM.
• Dealer diagnostic tools and VCM Scanner will continue to function normally.
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
• Please allow up to 7 business days for processing (not including shipping times).

How It Works

Step 1: Confirm your vehicle’s support and purchase this upgrade service. Ensure you have an MPVI4 interface.

Step 2: After placing your order, download and complete the shipping form found under the “Shipping” tab. Place the form inside your shipping box.

Step 3: Remove your ECM and package it safely with the completed shipping form.

Step 4: Write your order number clearly on the outside of the shipping box.

Step 5: Ship your ECM to HP Tuners using any carrier of your choice. Shipping costs to HP Tuners are the responsibility of the customer.

Step 6: HP Tuners upgrades your E68 ECM for tuning and diagnostics and ships it back to you.

Step 7: Reinstall your upgraded ECM, purchase and apply (10) Universal Credits, and begin tuning using MPVI4 and VCM Suite BETA.

NOTE: Customers are responsible for shipping costs when sending HP Tuners your ECM/PCM/TCM. The shipping charge at checkout only covers returning your control module after modification.

Disclaimers

• These ECM/PCM/TCM services are completed at the owner’s risk. HP Tuners will not be responsible for the vehicle, its powertrain, or electronics, nor how the control module is used, calibrated, and its functionality.
• Due to the factory location of the ECM in the vehicle, all ECMs will exhibit signs of weathering and wear, which is completely normal.
• When utilizing this service there is a possibility that the vehicle will need to be sent to the dealers to be re synced. Purchaser accepts all liability for this activity.
