MCT's, or medium chain triglycerides, come in four forms: C6, C8, C10, and C12. SFH chose to use a registered form of C8 MCT's in this product because clinical trials have shown that it can boost ketone production by 400% as compared to coconut oil and by 20-40% as compared to other MCT oils over the span of 4-8 hours.
