This superfine Merino wool sliver is a dyed carded fiber prepared for spinning, wet felting, and needle felting. With a fine micron count of approximately 19 microns, it offers exceptional softness suitable for next-to-skin yarns and textiles.

Carded sliver is produced by gently opening and aligning fibers into a continuous airy bundle. This preparation traps air, giving spun yarns loft and warmth while allowing fibers to felt quickly for both wet and needle felting projects.

The deep black color creates strong contrast in colorwork, blends beautifully with lighter fibers, and adds depth to hand-spun yarn or felted pieces.
