This is caused by the weight shifting forward during hard braking, taking weight off the rear, and causing the rear to lock-up. The RN-type was developed with the concept of having perfect balance of initial and overall friction levels. The RN-type has high initial bite allows immediate braking, but the overall friction level is kept at a lower level to prevent lock-up. The RN-type helps stabilize the car at corner entry, also helps prevent the rear tires from locking-up. It's very sturdy. It's very comfortable. It's not too soft. It's not too hard. I like it. I flip it when I sit in my chair when I'm on my iPad I can use the lower level when I'm relaxing. I flip it over and I use the the round part of it. It's just perfect for me.. I have plantar fasciitis and it really helps the heels of my feet.
