Alcoholic beverages and perfumes have been the best way to capture and share the flavors and aromas of these unique plant blends. While Carlene’s grandfather started one of the first vineyards in Loudoun County, VA in the 1980’s and sat on the Governor’s Virginia Wine Growers Advisory Board, it was never the initial plan to move Clever Beast Botanicals into the wine space.  Simply put, aromas and tastes are best captured in alcohol and oil.

About the product: A unisex woodland inspired scent with traditional gin botanicals with notes of juniper and soft, sweet Angelica paired with warm, resinous fir balsam and oak moss. In a travel friendly, swivel top compact with refillable tins, this fragrance exists in a creamy solid perfume base made from beeswax and meadow foam seed oil for easy blendability. 

A fragrance with duality, Gin Forest expresses the bouquet of liminal seasons. It is the smell of late October in Virginia (crisp weather, a barn with hanging, dried flowers and fresh cut pine) but also April (the first clearing at the wood’s edge, dried botanicals being tilled as the new herbaceous, aromatic foliage emerges). 

To use: Apply to pulse points every three hours, or as desired. For external use only. Avoid eye contact. Discontinue if irritation occurs. Store in a cool dry place.

Compact: A soothing all metal ‘worry stone’ container with an engraved swivel top. Use a paperclip to eject the refillable tin when done and use the compact to hold pills, earrings, or order a future refill tin. Fully recyclable.

Measures 49.5 x 38.5 x 14 mm with a usable product of approximately 3 g.

Ingredients: beeswax, meadowfoam seed oil, organic corn starch, naturally derived fragrance, essential oils

Note: Every solid perfume is hand poured and may contain small air bubbles or slight surface mottling. Gin Forest may naturally contain tiny, dark flecks due to the resinous botanicals used in production. This doesn’t affect the performance or quality of the product.
