Usually living beneath the shadow of her perfidious husband Zeus, Hera ruled over the heavens and the Earth and is commonly referred to as ‘The Queen of Heaven.’ From Odyssey Wines we bring you `Hera’ Chardonnay ….. a limited edition, barrel selection from only the best tight grained French Barriques. The handpicked grapes are from old, low yielding and dry farmed Mendoza Chardonnay vines. The wine is fermented in 50 % new French oak barriques and puncheons by wild yeast followed by a full indigenous malolactic fermentation.

The Hera Chardonnay like her namesake is a powerful wine, sweet fruited and textural which is hitting sublime notes even in her youth. Appealing to drink now the complexities and characters will continue to evolve for many years in the bottle…. Enjoy.
