Clenil Modulite Description
Clenil reduces inflammation in the airways, helping to prevent symptoms such as wheezing.
It offers ongoing asthma protection, helping you breathe more easily throughout the day.
It comes in three strengths (100mcg, 200mcg, 250mcg).

What is Clenil Modulite?

Clenil Modulite is a steroid inhaler used to prevent everyday asthma symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breath.

It's used to treat asthma, whether it's mild, moderate, or severe, and it contains the active ingredient beclometasone dipropionate. You can adjust your dose up or down as needed, with guidance from a clinician on where to begin. Steroid inhalers are ideal for those looking to manage daily asthma symptoms and need more than just a reliever to feel at ease.

How do Clenil inhalers work?

Asthma is a condition that causes inflammation in the lungs, making breathing more difficult. It's quite common, with about 5.4 million people in the UK receiving treatment for it, and it often begins in childhood. While the severity can vary from person to person, the symptoms are usually similar for everyone. Wheezing or a tight chest are the most noticeable signs that your airways are inflamed and require treatment.

Steroid inhalers help to lessen this inflammation, making it easier for you to breathe. Clenil Modulite is a steroid inhaler that you use regularly to help manage your asthma. It's important to also have a second inhaler, known as a reliever, with you in case you experience symptoms or have an asthma attack.

What kind of inhaler is Clenil Modulite?

Steroid inhalers are commonly known as 'brown inhalers'. The actual colour of your inhaler might vary based on the dose you select, but this term is generally used to differentiate preventer inhalers from the usually blue reliever inhalers.

Brown inhalers, also known as preventers, help you respond better to asthma triggers. Clenil Modulite prevents your airways from swelling and reduces inflammation, making it easier for you to breathe. This makes daily activities simpler and can enhance your ability to exercise. Most importantly, it can help you enjoy a good night's sleep.

Which dose of Clenil inhaler is best for me?

We provide Clenil Modulite in three strengths: 100mcg, 200mcg, and 250mcg.

Our experts can assist you in selecting the right dose based on how much your asthma symptoms are affecting you.

It's important to follow the recommended dose and see if your symptoms improve. If you think you need a higher or lower dose, our clinicians can help you adjust it easily. Asthma affects everyone differently, so it's normal to make changes to your treatment.

What if I forget to use my Clenil inhaler?

We always suggest using your inhaler as directed, since Clenil is most effective when used regularly. If you happen to miss a dose, don't fret – there's no need to compensate for it. Simply take your next dose as usual and carry on with your normal routine.

How do I know if I’m on the right dose of Clenil?

Your Clenil Modulite inhaler will need a few days to start taking effect. Brown inhalers gradually build up protection until your asthma is well managed. It's important to keep using your inhaler every day, even if you're feeling better, as this means Clenil is doing its job.

You can use a peak flow meter to monitor your symptoms, and our clinicians will stay in contact to check on your progress. If you wish to adjust your dose or switch your asthma medication, simply inform us.

How does Clenil Modulite relieve my asthma symptoms?

If you have asthma, it's important to manage your symptoms daily.

Steroid inhalers function by mimicking the natural hormones produced by your adrenal glands. They are not the same as the anabolic steroids used by bodybuilders. Instead, they release a small amount of anti-inflammatory medicine directly into your lungs.

Steroid inhalers are commonly used to manage asthma, and the beclometasone dipropionate in Clenil is designed to do just that. Our healthcare professionals can assist you in determining the right amount you need for peace of mind.

How are Clenil inhalers different from other asthma treatments?

There are several ways to manage asthma. Tablets like Montelukast can help prevent asthma triggers caused by allergies, such as dust and hay fever. However, clinical studies have shown that inhaled corticosteroids are the most effective for controlling asthma.

The active ingredient in Clenil Modulite, beclometasone dipropionate, can also be found in other preventer inhalers like Soprobec and Easyhaler Beclometasone, as well as in combination inhalers like Fostair.

What makes Clenil Modulite unique is its dose range. With a maximum dose of 250 micrograms, you can increase your dose if your asthma symptoms worsen, without needing to change inhalers.

Can Clenil Modulite cause side effects?

Most asthma inhalers might cause side effects, but they're generally not a cause for concern. Some people experience a hoarse voice or a sore throat after using their inhaler, and occasionally oral thrush. You can prevent these by rinsing your mouth after each use.

Using a volumatic spacer can help prevent this and may also improve the effectiveness of using the Clenil Modulite inhaler. If you have any other concerns, our experts are here to answer any questions you might have about side effects.

What does Modulite mean?

Modulite is the name given to Clenil's new inhaler design.

Traditional inhalers usually release a quick burst of medicine in a fast-moving cloud. This cloud often isn't inhaled properly, and the medicine meant for your lungs can end up in your mouth or throat. If you don't inhale correctly, it can be difficult to make sure you're getting the right dose, and there's no certainty that it's working as it should.

The Clenil Modulite inhaler tackles this issue with its efficient and refined design, which releases your medicine in a gentle, slow-moving mist. This targeted delivery, spread over a longer duration, ensures the medication reaches the specific areas of your lungs that need it. As a result, Clenil Modulite is a powerful and highly effective treatment for asthma.

Can I change my Clenil dosage?

You can adjust your Clenil dose if necessary, but only after consulting with a clinician. Typically, you might lower your dose if your asthma has been well-managed for a while, or increase it if you feel you need better control. Clenil Modulite comes in three different strengths, so if you think you need to switch your inhaler, our experts are here to assist you.

Important Information

Clenil may not be the ideal preventer inhaler for everyone. If you're uncertain about selecting the right asthma treatment or have any queries about dosages, do speak with a clinician.

An origins story of sorts
Format: Paperback
Darth Vader is an angry man. Recently Anakin Skywalker, hero of the Republic, the Chosen One in the eyes of some of the Jedi, he is now a literally broken man, as much machine as human, as result of losing a battle with his former master—and ‘brother’—and left to die along the lava rivers of Mustafar. Worse, he is bereft of his great love, Padme Amidala, and is at least the proximate, if not the direct, cause of her death. So yeah, he has a few things to work out. This first volume of the second DV run from Marvel focuses on how Vader becomes Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith that strikes fear in the hearts of friend and foe alike. The plot here across the six collected issues is fairly minimal. Having lost his lightsaber to Obi-Wan in the Mustafar fight, he needs a new one, and it needs to a Sith saber, which can only be gotten by taking a saber from a foe and “bleeding” it, by infusing its crystal with all the hate and anger that drives the Sith. In the process, this will turn the crystal’s light red (thus explaining why Sith sabers are the color they are). So, the first three issues are about him acquiring and crafting said saber. The other issues are his rocky introduction to and training of the Inquisitorious, the Emperor’s new Jedi hunters. So, with six issues of not a whole lot of story, does this collection work? To my surprise, yes it does. This is all about emotion, and if there is a standout star, it’s Vader’s rage. His former life gone, crushed and burned in the fires of Mustafar, Vader’s going to forge a new one in the very flames of his anger. Writer Charles Soule has done a fine job in depicting this inner turmoil and translating it into the foundations of the Dark Lord’s new life. Also nicer is artist Giuseppe Camuncoli’s work. The artwork is dynamic—Vader is agile, fluid and skillful —and interesting. It’s good stuff and does a fine job giving us insight to Vader’s state of mind. As I’ve said, there’s not a whole lot of story here, but there is a fine character study of damaged man rebuilding himself into a powerful and formidable individual.

Vader's Second Marvel Series Is Good!
Format: Paperback
This is actually the start of a second Vader series. The first one began, along with the new Marvel main Star Wars series, right after the Death Star was destroyed. That Vader series birthed the new characters of Doctor Aphra, Triple Zero, BeeTee, and Cylo. Now, that series has come to an end. THIS NEW SERIES IS GOOD! It picks up the moment that Anakin Skywalker awakes in his armor at the end of Revenge of the Sith. It chronicles the first steps of Darth Vader. We learn something new about the Sith. They do not create their own lightsabers. They must take a saber from a Jedi and make it their own. The Sith blades are red and only red. Why? Palpatine explains that the kyber crystals that power the sabers are living things within the Force. This is backed up by the Rogue One novel (it was either that or Catalyst). The crystals are rock, but they are also alive. In the hands of a Sith, the new owner uses the Dark Side to push all his pain into the crystal--until the crystal bleeds and turns the color of the beam red. I just think that is all sorts of awesome!

Vader when he still is Anakin
Format: Paperback
This comic picks up right where Episode III left off. Like directly. There's the whole "Noooooooooo" thing and everything. I liked seeing Vader when he is new to being a Sith. It really is Anakin under there still. Throughout the comic, that Anakin begins to fall away. I liked the mix of prequel and original trilogy aesthetic. Seeing Vader alongside clone troopers was very cool. The Grand Inquisitor even makes a cameo! I read the Dark Horse comics that took place right after Order 66 so certain aspects of this comic remind me of those. In this comic, there are jedi who took the Barash Vow prior to the Purge, so they are still out and about in the galaxy. Vader takes this opportunity to take a lightsaber and make it bleed. I really enjoyed this first volume in a new, ongoing comic series. I am absolutely excited for volume two. I give this volume a 5/5.
