The Akai GX-747 DBX, released in 1982, is a testament to the enduring quality of vintage audio equipment. As the successor to the GX-747, this model features a dbx decode-encode system and classic VU meters, offering a blend of traditional aesthetics and advanced technology. The dbx type I NR significantly enhances the dynamic range, providing an audio experience that's both rich and nuanced. Our in-house technicians have meticulously serviced and cleaned this unit. It has undergone thorough testing of all functions and is in full working order. The tape heads and pinch rollers have been cleaned and realigned, and all internal controls, motors, connections, and switches have been tested to ensure trouble-free operation. All light sockets are clean, and lights function correctly. Both playback and record functions have been tested with various reels and perform excellently.
