Obverse: the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it – the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim – on top: "ДВА РУБЛЯ" (TWO RUBLES), below: to the left – indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre – the year of issue "2014 г." (2014), to the right – the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.

Reverse: on the left part of the disc against a background of the starry sky – the relief portrait of V.N. Chelomey, under it – dates: "1914" and "1984", to the right above on a matted sector of the disc – the image of an orbital space station and outlines of the Earth, below along the rim – the inscription: "В.Н.ЧЕЛОМЕЙ" (V.N. CHELOMEY).
