The Meindl Peru GTX is a 3 season walking boot based on the successful Meindl Toronto GTX. Famed as master shoemakers, Meindl have constructed the Peru GTX from soft waxed Nubuck leather to create an attractive exterior whilst ensuring protection and durability across all terrains. Meindl's footwear philosophy stands for quality and tradition, incorporating various state of the art technologies to provide you with utmost comfort and satisfaction. The technical features of the Peru GTX include a GORE-TEX lining for waterproofing, an Air-Active softstep footbed to wick away unwanted moisture, and a double density rubber sole for shock absorbency. The Peru GTX is also fitted with additional compression padding around a lower-cut ankle to reduce pressure when walking down-hill, prioritising your comfort. This walking boot is ideal for hill-walking and lower-level routes.

Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
