Deep ruby red with violet hues. Ample and complex aroma with notes of cherry and sour cherry followed by a woody and spicy fragrance. Elegant and soft palate with pleasant ripe tannins. The aftertaste is fruity, long and persitent.
The grapes were sources from Col d’Orcia's own vineyard, located in Montalcino, on the hill overlooking the Orcia river, facing South. Average height above sea level of 250 meters.
Sangiovese, locally called "Brunello" the same variety used in the production of Brunello di Montalcino.
Food Pairing: Match this mature red with prosciutto, salami or roast pork for a delicious winter meal.
