The F80 is a revolution for the Ferrari sports car thanks to the first electric engine entirely designed, tested and produced in Maranello. The MGU-K electric engine derives directly from Ferrari's experience in the world of racing. Various components derive from the powertrain of the 499P, winner of the 2023 and 2024 editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The CCM-R Plus braking system co-developed with Brembo, an absolute first for a road car, is composed of long carbon fibres and coated with silicon carbide to improve resistance.
The generous S-Duct that characterizes the central part of the F80's bonnet hides a triple-element wing (triplane) that directs the front air flow towards the rear wing to generate maximum aerodynamic load.
The exterior design of the F80 has a very strong futuristic impact and a clear reference to the aerospace industry.
The cockpit is inspired by a Formula 1 single-seater in an unprecedented solution that has made the driver the absolute protagonist, transforming the F80 into a ‘1+’. The F80 is equipped with a new steering wheel that is slightly smaller than the previous one, with a refined grip to increase the grip of the hands on the wheel.
