Merian C Cooper’s Classic Movie King Kong created in 1932, saw the introduction of the colossus, King Kong.

The story of Kong, his home on Skull Island, and the dramatic battle on the top of the Empire State Building has captured the public’s imagination for nearly a century. King Kong has spawned numerous remakes, and variants through the cinema of the 1900’s and 2000’s, but it was artist and author, Joe DeVito that the estate of Merian C Cooper turned to, to develop the official sequel and world building histories around the original characters. Joe’s original stories- Skull Island and the History of Skull Island, revealed details of the history of the Kong’s, events leading to the capture of King Kong, as a result of Carl Denham’s trip to the island, and the aftermath of the battle on the Empire State Building.

A talented artist, Joe has contributed to comic book retelling of his stories by a number of publishers, offering distinctive cover art for the series. It is from this rich cover art that we have selected the 2024 image. Featuring King Kong atop the Empire State Building, with Ann Darrow clasped in his giant hand, this art featured on the cover of Dynamite Entertainment’s King Kong: The Great War from 2023.

A Classic King Kong, by the official partner to Merian C Cooper’s estate captured in investment grade 999 silver, as a limited-edition collectible.

King Kong of Skull Island 2024 coins feature individual numbering on the reverse face, lower right of each coin, and come attractively packaged in a quality wooden case and card outer, with matching numbered certificate of authenticity. The coin images below showcase Joe DeVito’s comic cover art, featuring King Kong atop the Empire State Building, clutching a helpless Ann Darrow. The cityscape background is engraved and frosted, with Kong prominent in color.

This is one of two coins that are the only official releases for the property in 2024 and represent the commencement of an annual programme to celebrate the legacy of King Kong of Skull Island, and the comic book artistry of Joe DeVito.

Excellent shoes - good fit, nice look.
Excellent shoes - great value for money! Attractive and well built. Got several unsolicited compliments from co-workers. They are stiff at first and require a bit more of a break-in period than some other shoes I have purchased lately. I hope that is a sign of durability ...

Size: 11.5, Color: Black Crazy Horse, Size: 11.5, Color: Black Crazy Horse
Stylish and most importantly they are comfortable right out of the box, no breaking in required. This is my second pair, I now own both the black and brown colors to compliment almost any outfit. Worth the price!

Absolutely comfortable.
Size: 9, Color: Brown Multi
I am always on the lookout for a professional, but very comfortable shoe (education field with a lot of walking). These Florsheims fit the bill and make me wonder why I never bought these before. Something about them just didn't "look" comfortable to me but man was I wrong. These are easily among my most comfortable work shoes with the bonus of also looking more professional. I will say they have some heft to them, so if that's a problem for you these may not be right for you. As for me, they are right as rain. I purchased the black and brown ones (with white souls) and they are at the top of my rotation now. I look forward to trying some more from Thai company.
