The Pride Sitting Pretty Evolution LC-435 is the most versatile 3-position lift chair we carry — five sizes from Small to XXL, weight capacities from 400 to 600 lbs, and a feature set that goes well beyond what most 3-position chairs offer at this price. Pull-out arm storage with a cup holder, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, a magnetic hand control that attaches to either side, pocketed coil seating on the three standard sizes, and integrated battery backup across the entire range.

Small, Medium, and Large use Enhanced 3-Position reclining — the footrest rises before the back reclines, creating an intermediate lounging position that standard 3-position chairs skip entirely. XL and XXL use Traditional 3-Position with higher weight capacities up to 600 lbs. If the only chair that fits your body or budget is a 3-position, this is the one to buy.

What Sets the LC-435 Apart from Other 3-Position Chairs

Pull-Out Arm Storage Both armrests pull out to reveal a storage tray — cup holder, remotes, phone, reading glasses, TV guide, medication. Everything within reach without a side table. USB-A and USB-C charging ports are built into this storage area so your phone charges from inside the armrest. No cords running to the wall outlet behind you.
Enhanced 3-Position (S/M/L) Standard 3-position chairs move the back and footrest simultaneously. The LC-435's Enhanced 3-Position raises the footrest first, creating a comfortable legs-up lounging position before the back begins to recline. This adds a genuinely useful intermediate position that standard 3-position chairs skip — important for patients who want leg elevation without full recline.
Pocketed Coil Seat (S/M/L) The three standard sizes use individually pocketed coil springs — the same technology in quality mattresses — rather than foam-only cushioning. Each coil responds independently to body weight and returns to shape after use. The seat maintains its support profile significantly longer than foam, which compresses and flattens with daily use over months and years.
5 Sizes — 400 to 600 lb Capacity Small through Large handle 400 lbs. XL handles 500 lbs. XXL handles 600 lbs with a 30-inch seat width. The LC-435 is one of very few lift chairs that covers this full capacity range within a single model, with the same features and the same warranty across every size.
Magnetic Hand Control — Either Side The hand control uses magnetic attachment and docks to either armrest — left or right — making it accessible for users with limited strength on one side. No reaching behind cushions or fishing for a dangling remote. Attach it to whichever side works for you and it stays there.
Battery Backup — All Sizes Integrated battery backup is standard across all five sizes. During a power outage — including SW Florida storm outages — the chair returns to the upright seated position. Confirmed for all configurations including the high-capacity XL and XXL models.

Size & Fit — Five Sizes, One Complete Chart

Correct sizing matters for comfort, lift mechanism performance, and standing safety. When seated, feet should rest flat on the floor with knees near 90 degrees. The seat depth should support the thighs without pressing behind the knees. Call us with height, weight, and seated hip width if you are between sizes. 866-218-0902.

XL vs XXL: Both fit the same height range (5'8"–6'1") and have the same seat depth, seat height, and back height. The only difference is seat width — 26" on the XL vs 30" on the XXL. Choose XL if your seated hip width is under 24". Choose XXL if you need more lateral room. Call us if you are unsure. 866-218-0902.

Frequently Asked Questions

In a Traditional 3-Position chair, the footrest and backrest move together as a unit — they rise and recline simultaneously. In the LC-435's Enhanced 3-Position (Small, Medium, Large), the footrest raises first before the back begins to recline. This creates an intermediate position — legs elevated, back still upright or slightly reclined — that most 3-position chairs cannot achieve. It is useful for patients who want leg elevation for circulation or comfort without fully reclining, and for anyone who finds the standard position jump from "sitting" to "reclined" too abrupt. The XL and XXL use Traditional 3-Position — the mechanical demands of higher-capacity models make Enhanced positioning less practical at those weight levels.
The Large has a seat-to-floor height of 22 inches; the XL is 20 inches. This counterintuitive difference comes from the XL's wider, heavier frame construction — the seat sits lower relative to the floor despite fitting taller users. The XL's 26-inch seat width is what makes it appropriate for larger users, not seat height. In practice, most users in the 5'8"–6'1" range with higher weight capacity needs find the XL seat height comfortable. If you have specific concerns about seat height for standing transitions, call us and we will confirm what works for your measurements. 866-218-0902.
Foam cushioning compresses with daily use — over months and years the seat loses its shape and support. Pocketed coil springs (on the Small, Medium, and Large LC-435) each respond independently to body weight and return to their original shape after each use, the same way a quality mattress maintains its support over time. For a chair that is used every day as the primary seating, the long-term durability difference is meaningful. The XL and XXL use Total Comfort foam, which is appropriate for those sizes — but if you have the option of a pocketed coil seat, it is an advantage worth having.
The LC-435 is the right choice if: you need a 3-position chair at a practical price, you want arm storage and USB charging built in, or you need the XXL bariatric capacity (600 lbs). The PLR-935 Tranquil is the right choice if: you need independent back and footrest movement, you require Trendelenburg positioning for circulation or edema management, or you want power headrest and lumbar adjustment. The fundamental difference is that 3-position chairs move back and footrest together, while infinite-position chairs move them independently. If your physician has not specified a positioning requirement and you primarily need safe standing assistance and comfortable reclining, the LC-435 delivers that without the additional cost.
Yes — floor models are available at all five Southwest Florida locations. For the LC-435 specifically, sitting in it helps you evaluate the pull-out arm storage, the magnetic hand control placement, and the Enhanced 3-Position recline sequence — all things that are better experienced than described. Walk-ins welcome Monday–Friday 9AM–5PM, Saturday 9AM–3PM. Find your nearest location →

My favorite... And I'm picky.
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I've become a little obsessed with sunscreen over the last past 5 years. I have olive skin and developed melasma after my first pregnancy. I learned the hard way that chemical sunscreens don't help if you have melasma - and they actually make the dark spots even worse. Also the active ingredients in chemical sunscreens (like Oxybenzone and Octinoxate) are absorbed by your skin, and may cause allergies, hormonal imbalance and be toxic overtime. After learning that, I started wearing only mineral sunscreen (active ingredient is zinc and/or titanium dioxide). These are not absorbed and works by creating a physical barrier that reflects the sun (some studies suggest that some nanoparticles of zinc may be absorbed by your skin, so to be really, really safe you should look for non-nano particles). After trying a few brands, I realized the sunscreens with only zinc in their formulas worked better than the blends with titanium dioxide, but this is just my personal preference I guess. And the higher the percentage of zinc, the better. Most pure mineral sunscreens out there are 10-ish % zinc, SPF 30, 40 min water resistant - which is ok. Thinksport goes beyond that: It's 20% non-nano zinc, SPF 50+, 80 min water resistant. It really can't get any better than that! The lotion is not extremely thick when compared to other sunscreens I've tried and I find it pretty easy to apply. As every zinc sunscreen, it does leave a little fine white cast, but honestly Thinksport is not bad at all! It smells nice, lightly citrusy - and the smell vanishes soon. And, it's not overpriced. Best I've tried so far.

Works but will Dry Out Your Skin
Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I am a swim instructor at an outdoor pool and this stuff DOES work. I can apply it at the beginning of a 5 hour shift and while I have experienced light tanning it has protected against burning completely without reapplication. The white cast is significant though I don't mind it aesthetically, I know its there for protection . It does rub off on things though so consider yourself warned. Major Con: it is incredibly drying, and the soap needed to scrub it off is A LOT. That coupled with chlorine is a lot for my skin . Still on my sunscreen journey.

This book was amazing!
Format: Kindle
I absolutely loved this book! Avery and Knox were beyond perfect for each other. Rebecca Jenshak did such an incredible writing this book and these characters. The brothers relationships in this family is wonderful. Everyone steps up to help take care of each other and it is heart warming. This book had low angst which I loved! I am really enjoying the start to this series and I cant wait to read the next book! The duet audiobook was incredible! Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamiliton did a fantastic job bringing this book and these characters to life! I highly recommend this book, audiobook, and series!

Banter, a bit of angst, found family, and a hot, tattooed bad boy who’s really a totally softie
Format: Kindle
This was a fun, easy read. It has all the things I love in a sports romance...banter, a bit of angst, found family, and a hot, tattooed bad boy who’s really a totally softie. Knox is kind of a mess at the start. He’s super talented, but has a reputation problem after getting kicked off his motocross team. He’s desperate for a second chance, which leads him to Avery, a former Olympic gymnast recovering from an injury. She’s trying to get her confidence back, and somehow these two end up helping each other. They can't stand each other at the beginning. He says ALL. THE. WRONG. THINGS. Evenutally, their friendship builds into something more. It felt natural and sweet. I liked that they both had their own stuff going on. Avery’s inner struggle was really relatable, and Knox’s bond with his brothers, especially with Flynn, added a ton of heart to the story. The beginning was little slow, and the ending felt a little rushed. Overall, though? I had a great time with this book.

New Type of Sports Romance!
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
Instagram: @notyourkindlehistory Burnout by Rebecca Jenshak Rating: 3.5 Spice: 3.5

Tropes: - Gymnast x motocross rider - Training together - Tattooed hero - College romance - Ton of Banter My Review Okay… I’m not even sure how to start this review so I’m just going to explain my 3.5 rating. I want to begin saying, there really wasn’t anything that made this book bad. I have read previous books by Rebecca Jenshak, and I LOVED them, rated them 4 or 5 stars, but for some reason, this book took me about 35-40% of the way through to finally get into it and enjoy it. Once I got past that point, I absolutely loved it. I’m not sure if it was a mood I was in, or just that it was a completely different type of sports romance, but something just didn’t grab my attention soon enough. I loved Avery and Knox, two complete opposite kind of people, which made for a ton of banter. I loved that we were able to get inside of the head of Avery, an Olympic gymnast, who was recovering from an injury, and see what that process of the road to recovery and competing again at 100%  looked like from a mental stand point. Knox was this character that you got immediate bad boy, I don’t do relationships and just hook up vibes from, but slowly throughout the book you can see Avery and Knox going back and forth and breaking each-others walls down. They began hanging out more and doing more things together, but didn’t want to define what they had because it worked for them and what they needed at the time. This book had different aspects of a relationship that you don’t see in other romance books, such as long distance. I thought the end of this book was left more open ended than closed, and I felt it just kind of ended, or the epilogue wasn’t really a cherry on top, it was more so just the sprinkles. BUT, overall, I would recommend this book to read to others; the spice in this book was AMAZING (there may or may not be a spicy motorcycle scene hehe), the banter was great, we really got a feel and understanding of each character too. I wonder if I read it again, or read other books in the universe to get some background on this story, maybe my mind will change on my rating; but for now it’s a solid 3.5 for me.
