This assembly features a "stay open" design, meaning once the flag handle is pushed, the valve remains open to allow for hands free irrigation of the eyes, meeting ANSI Z358. 1 requirements. This specific model is engineered for horizontal mounting, where the water supply piping enters the valve from the side.
