Reproduction of Wild Iris Crop by Carol Rowan
Carol Rowan — "Wild Iris Crop" is a compelling example of contemporary botanical art that bridges the gap between traditional naturalism and modern abstraction. The work aligns with the lineage of late 19th- and early 20th-century floral studies, particularly those influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, while simultaneously embracing a painterly, impressionistic approach that emphasizes mood over meticulous detail. Rowan employs a soft, blended technique that mimics the fluidity of pastel, allowing the forms of the irises to emerge organically from the surrounding field. The composition is characterized by an asymmetrical balance, with the floral elements concentrated on the right, drawing the viewer’s eye across the canvas while leaving ample negative space to evoke the vastness of the natural landscape. This use of space, combined with the subtle gradations of color, creates a sense of depth and atmosphere that is both calming and engaging. The color palette, dominated by muted whites and deep blues, is restrained yet effective, allowing the natural beauty of the subject to take center stage without overwhelming the senses. The piece reflects a broader cultural shift towards valuing nature and simplicity, positioning it within the enduring tradition of botanical illustration while also contributing to the contemporary discourse on environmental awareness and quiet luxury. Its interpretive significance lies in its ability to transform a simple natural scene into a meditative visual experience, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the subtle elegance of the natural world. For more art by Carol Rowan click here.

Decent for the price
Color: 2 Dark Brown, Color: 2 Dark Brown
Bought the color 2 thinking it would be brown but it’s almost Black (my own ignorance). I saw a YT vid by Kie Rashon where she sort of left the front of her hair out so I was hoping to do the same but it’s too dark for my hair (you can’t tell in the pics). I would recommend checking Kie out on YT for more details.
I do like it though so I will probably give this one to my sister and reorder a different color. Wish they provided pics of how the wig in other colors look.
Edit: So I repurchased this piece in DR Hazelnut Brown (the lighter color). I took some leave out in the front so please note that’s my hairline, not the wig’s. It blended well with my hair color. My texture is a little curlier but I just did a braid out on the front to help it blend. Wig tangles very easily. I’m going to experiment with co-washing to see if that reverts it to its origami condition.

Not this one
Color: 1B Off Black
After buying my first Outre wig I have bought several since until I bought this particular one and I was disappointed from the moment I open the package. The look, texture, fullness, or lack of fullness was very disappointing. The wig only cost 30.00 dollars but had I bought it in a wig shop it probably would have cost much more, but when you order online that is a chance that you take. I wouldn't recommend this particular wig if you are looking for the look that the picture portrays. Try one of Outre's others.

I love a synthetic wavy wig but this one didn’t even last the entire weekend like most do. Look very cute the first day but after that it just didn’t do what I needed it to do any
