Menurut laporan dari Petapixel, HoverAir mulai membagikan berbagai informasi awal mengenai Aqua, termasuk cuplikan penggunaannya di lapangan serta sejumlah fitur unggulan yang akan dibawanya.

HoverAir Aqua dirancang untuk menghadirkan pengalaman perekaman yang sepenuhnya praktis dan hands-free di lingkungan perairan. Dengan kemampuan lepas landas dan mendarat langsung di atas air, drone ini menjadi solusi ideal untuk merekam aktivitas seperti surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, berlayar, hingga berbagai petualangan dan liburan di tepi pantai.

HoverAir Aqua hadir dengan desain yang sepenuhnya tahan air dan dikembangkan khusus untuk penggunaan di lingkungan perairan. Untuk memastikan performa tetap optimal, drone ini dibekali berbagai teknologi pendukung seperti material hidrofobik, komponen anti-korosi, sistem perlindungan kedap air, serta desain khusus yang membantu menjaga keandalan perangkat saat digunakan di laut, sungai, maupun danau.

Meski menawarkan perlindungan yang sangat baik terhadap air, Aqua tetap mempertahankan bobot yang ringan, yaitu di bawah 250 gram. Desain ringkas ini membuatnya lebih mudah dibawa ke mana saja dan praktis digunakan untuk berbagai aktivitas outdoor maupun olahraga air.

overAir juga telah membagikan informasi tentang kemampuan pencitraan Aqua. Drone tahan air ini akan dilengkapi sensor gambar CMOS Tipe 1/1.3 "kelas unggulan", ukuran sensor yang sama dengan X1 Pro Max, dan lensa yang dikustomisasi. Aqua akan merekam video beresolusi 4K hingga 100fps. Perlu dicatat bahwa X1 Pro Max merekam video 4Kp120 dan juga 8Kp30, tetapi HoverAir belum menyebutkan kedua kemampuan ini untuk Aqua. Perusahaan telah merilis beberapa cuplikan yang menunjukkan HoverAir Aqua sedang digunakan dan beberapa video yang diambil menggunakan drone tahan air ini, yang dapat dilihat di atas dan di bawah. Drone ini juga memiliki ketahanan angin level 7 (hingga 33 knot) dan mampu terbang secepat 55 kilometer per jam (lebih dari 34 mil per jam).
