Created in collaboration with the extraordinary Charles van Sandwyk, this design draws on his gift for capturing the tender, hidden stories of nature—tales where creatures are not just animals, but symbols of love, resilience, and quiet magic. Known for his luminous watercolours and intricate linework, Charles’ work feels like stepping into a storybook where every detail whispers of wonder. We are delighted to share his art in this new chapter of our collaboration!
At the heart of this delightful print lies a cozy underground burrow where a fox curls protectively around a pheasant and her nest of eggs, their peace unbroken by the roles the world expects them to play. Above, the moonlit forest stretches out—a gnarled old tree rises from the earth, a castle glows faintly in the distance, and a wise owl sweeps across the night sky. In his talons, he carries an hourglass and a message, as if flying between worlds to deliver a truth we must not forget.
With its deep greens, warm glowing earth tones, and the hush of night, Woodland Wisdom speaks to the magic that unfolds when we nurture instead of harm, protect instead of fear, and choose to love one another—creature to creature, heart to heart.

100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.

Kimono measurements: length 78cm, width (across back, underarm to underarm) 74cm. Model is 5'9 for reference.

This book is easy to read and easy to comprehend. The writing is attractive and helps the reader understand with ease the challenges and difficulties in relationships with their significant other and or other people in their lives. After reading this, I believe love is perception based and it is a matter of just changing how you see things to understand and feel loved. The part that hit close to home for me was in the end where a man who had gone to prison had wrote the author to tell how he had never felt love from his mother but after reading the book, realized she had loved him all along but not in a language he spoke and it wasn't until he was about to be locked away from her that she spoke to him in the language of touch and opened his mind. It brought tears to my eyes because I identified myself with that man having that internal struggle When Love Was there all along. Love is the motivating factor in practically all of our life decisions. With it, we feel we can conquer the world and without it we feel abandoned and scared. It is all a matter of perception. Love yourself, love your family, love your friends, and all those that are close to you and unknown to you and the world is not such a scary place after all. This book is definitely going to be on the top of my shelf.
