These knives were standard issue to German pilots, paratroopers and aircrews on bombers, these knives were designed for cutting parachute shroud lines and general field utility tasks, operating by gravity rather than a spring mechanism.
The blade slides freely under gravity (in and out) however, the locking mechanism has been broken in combat. The Marlin spike is functional and is marked at the base. The blade bears the maker’s oval logo “Paul Weyersberg & Co. Solingen” with the firm’s sword-and-wreath emblem.
Size 10.25" Overall / 4" Blade
There is some rust, wear, and battle damage to the locking mechanism. This item was personally picked up in Germany from one of our suppliers, so authenticity is 100% Guaranteed. Own this great battlefield relic today!
