Technique: Boushi - Capped motif binding thread resist

Pattern: Ichimatsu - Checkerboard pattern, named after 18th-century kabuki actor Sanokawa Ichimatsu, who frequently wore the pattern, which had been used centuries and gone by different names, such as genroku mon'you.
