* This is a piece of Titanium Niobium superconductor preform. It starts it's life as a huge copper block with hundreds of holes drilled into it. Into those holes twisted niobium-titanium filaments are inserted. The whole block is then plasma welded in a vacuum until it's a solid billet, then it's taken to a drawing machine where it's slowly drawn down into wire, which is wound into the magnetic coils for the containment magnets. This piece here would be what is considered "preform" or half made wire.

* Wire EDM cut. The item will be sent in un-polished condition.

* Shipped thru USPS Priority mail and insured within USA. For international purchase/shipping, pls contact us.

* Pattern: Honeycomb Oblique.

* Size (apprx.): 6.125" x 1.625" x 0.109"

* Composition: Niobium/Titanium alloy rods bundled in copper.

About SSC:
Superconducting Super Collider (SSC), a federally financed project abandoned in 1993 that would have been capable of accelerating subatomic particles to energy levels forty times that previously achieved by researchers. For reasons of national prestige and international economic competitiveness, the Ronald Reagan administration in 1982 encouraged U.S. high-energy scientists to devise a challenging national accelerator project. Physicists responded with plans for the most ambitious particle accelerator ever attempted, a superconducting super collider. It was to be a proton collider far more energetic than existing ones, employing the superconducting magnetic technology recently developed at the Fermi National Laboratory in Illinois. The primary justification for the machine was a search for particles known as Higgs bosons. The machine was to produce forty TeV protons (where one TeV, or tera-electron volt, is 1 trillion electron volts). This determined the size (a fifty-four-mile-long ring) and the projected cost ($4.4 billion). Federal funding for the machine required justification. Support from the Texas congressional delegation and the promise of $1 billion toward the project from the state of Texas led to the decision to build the accelerator in Waxahachie, Texas, rather than near Fermilab. In the autumn of 1993 the House of Representatives, faced with a more than doubled price tag, voted overwhelmingly to kill the project. By then $2 billion had been spent, the superconducting magnets had been tested, one-third of the ring had been excavated, and two teams of a thousand physicists and engineers from around the world were working out detailed designs of the two enormous particle detectors to observe and analyze proton collisions in the TeV energy range. Awesome quality
Color: White, Color: White
Take your time installing! It comes with all the instructions and templates. Make sure you’re screwing this into solid wood. I would not recommend you hang your expensive PC from a particle board table. My Pc fits in well and it’s compatible with a ton of different sizes. Mine has been mounted under my desk for about 6 months and is rock solid. I will say, mine is balancing in there. If I don’t have it at its center of gravity, it could tip out. You can adjust it with the various screw holes but make sure you mount it into something solid.

PC holder that looks great and works on large PCs for easy under desk mounting
Color: Black
After a lot of research and trial and error I finally found the Heavy Duty Under Desk PC Holder. It is the only under desk PC holder that looks good and is able to hold my HP Omen 45L where I want it - under my desk. Putting it together is relatively easy as was the installation to the desk. No messing with cables or round steel tubes to get the job done. The metal is solid, the black powder coating looks great, and the installation hardware is a;l there including a drill bit, hex key, and wrench. You just need to bring a screw driver for the wood screws to attach it to your desk. Read the instructions and make sure you take the depth of your PC into account when attaching the PC holder to your desk, especially if you have a standing desk with motors.

Quality Holder
Color: White
Very quality holder and very sturdy and stable. I purchased it back in April, and it has been holding up nicely. I would definitely say that it is worth the price. I love that it's adjustable, so if I ever decide I want to new PC case, I can still use it (as long as it fits the dimensions of the holder). Putting it together and mounting it was simple. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that it did not come with screws, and I had to purchase some. I hope that has been changed since then.
