Description:

TUBE-LIKE OVERDRIVE WITH ADVANCED TONE CONTROL

Shape how gain behaves, not just how much of it there is.

Most overdrives are built around one particular character. The Empress Drive gives you the tools to shape your own. Instead of locking you into a single flavour of overdrive, it lets you shape the harmonic structure that determines how a drive sounds and responds.

With pre-overdrive mid shaping, flexible boost routing, clean blend, and post-mix EQ, the Empress Drive can move from subtle edge-of-breakup push to saturated, harmonically rich drive, either enhancing the character of your guitar and amp or taking your sound somewhere entirely new.

FEATURES

  • Tube-like overdrive with advanced tone control
  • Sweepable Midrange for precise harmonic shaping
  • Mix control to preserve your amp’s natural breakup
  • Active Bass and Treble shelving filters
  • Up to 30 dB of pre- or post-clipping, footswitchable boost
  • Built-in analog clipping meter with selectable LED colour
  • Adaptive noise gate

BREAKUP CONTROL

Most overdrives shape tone after distortion. The Empress Drive shapes it before. With the Midrange control placed ahead of the overdrive stage, adjusting it changes which frequencies push the circuit into saturation. Boost lower mids for thicker breakup, emphasize upper mids for bite and articulation, or pull them back to tighten the response and reduce harmonic density.

Instead of accepting a fixed voicing, you decide how the circuit reacts to your playing dynamics and guitar volume. The result is overdrive that responds with intention rather than imposing a single character.

A RANGE OF VOICES

The Empress Drive isn’t modeled after one specific amplifier. It’s built to move between styles. Dial in mid-forward tweed-style warmth, tighter British crunch, or cleaner, punchier breakup without swapping pedals.

Assignable pre- or post-overdrive boost lets you reshape saturation or simply raise output level. The mix control preserves your core tone while adding drive, and post-mix shelving EQ keeps everything balanced. It can act as a second gain channel or live on your board as a foundation tone that enhances what your amp already does well.

BUILT-IN GAIN STAGING

Stacking boosts and overdrives works, but it adds noise, cost, and board space. The Empress Drive integrates up to 30dB of assignable pre- or post-overdrive boost directly into the circuit. Push the overdrive stage harder for more saturation and compression, or engage post-overdrive boost to lift your level without changing gain character.

Combined with the mix control and post-mix EQ, you get clarity, punch, and balance without having to rely on multiple pedals.

ANALOG CONTROL

The Empress Drive runs on a fully analog signal path designed for organic breakup and natural compression. An adaptive noise gate listens to your input and responds to how you play, reducing unwanted hum at higher gain settings without cutting off sustain. It stays out of the way until you need it.

And yeah, there’s a VU meter. It shows how hard you’re driving the overdrive stage in real time. It’s not there to be clinical, it’s there because watching the needle move while you play is surprisingly revealing... and sometimes just plain satisfying.

Fairly Priced and Fairly Nice iPad Pro Case
    Color: Light Pink
I was on the hunt for a case for my iPad Pro (6th generation), and let me tell you, it was a wild ride! I scoured every review I could find, but it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The ones that were reasonably priced had all sorts of issues, and the ones that looked fancy were way too expensive and had just as many problems. Now, I know what you might be thinking: “You get what you pay for, right?” Well, I was determined to find a case that fit my budget and didn’t have too many complaints. After hours of searching, I finally stumbled upon a case that seemed to be a reasonable match. Here’s why I picked this one: It has most of the features I wanted. It covers the lens on the back of the iPad, and there’s a holder on top for the pencil allowing it to charge. I’ve gone through two cases before, and they all started to wear out pretty quickly. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on another case that would just fall apart so I found this one to be reasonably priced. The case itself is nice and sturdy, and it’s a great fit for my iPad. I charged the keyboard for the recommended 5 hours before I first used it, and I haven’t had a chance to test the battery life yet. But after charging, it was a breeze to connect it to my iPad. A little heads up: the connect button is actually the “C” on the keyboard, not the command or control key. I know, I know, confusing! But once you press the keys, Bluetooth turns on, and connection to the iPad went without any issues. I’ve seen some reviews mentioning that special characters weren’t working or that the keyboard would just stop working randomly. But so far, everything seems to be working perfectly. I’ll definitely update this review if anything changes. One thing I really like about this keyboard case is that once it’s connected, you don’t have to reconnect it again. That’s a huge plus! Another cool feature is that the instructions for pairing and using the keyboard are right on the bottom of the keyboard, which is super handy. Pros: - style and fit. - different angles for propping iPad while typing or watching videos - instructions for pairing and use on the bottom of the keyboard, Cons: - The only downside I’ve found so far is that you can’t swivel the iPad from landscape to portrait because the case doesn’t allow for that movement. For me this is a minor inconvenience, because I just close the case and turn it to portrait. If that’s important to you, then this might not be the case for you. Another thing I have noticed is that sometime while I am typing, and I type fast, I will hit something and get dragged somewhere else on the screen. I think this is a user inspired issue, but it is not that big a deal for me. Overall, this is a good functional case with a pretty good keyboard and iPad protection. I’m giving it 4 stars explained below. My Stars Explained 5 - Like finding money in your old coat pocket - pure joy! 4 - Almost perfect - like a pizza with just one missing topping. 3 - Like a movie that’s just okay—neither a blockbuster nor a total flop 2 - Like a blind date that went horribly wrong - cringeworthy. 1 - Like stepping on a Lego in the dark - painful.

Perfect fit, secure pencil slot, great touchpad.
    Color: Navy Blue
EXCELLENT Keyboard case. I tried several to find the right one. Tried a bluetooth keyboard by itself, but there wasn't the convenience of an "all in one". Tried another one that had a magnetic connection between the ipad and the keyboard, but the ipad was not as positionable as I needed it to be. This "folio-type" case is similar to what I use for all my other tablets and devices - slim, securely closing, perfectly fitting my 3rd gen ipad pro - AND the slot for the apple pencil is PERFECTION! The touchpad is a little stiffer than I like but then I realized I DON'T actually have to press it to use it - just a tap accomplishes the same thing. I rely on the touchpad for a lot and this case is just really exactly what I need.

    good value and battery life
    Color: Purple
Love this!! the keyboard has a good life on it and charges pretty fast. I at first didn't really like that it detaches, but being able to hold the keyboard in my lap and type on the screen while I sit on the sofa is actually pretty nice. the trackpad does have a bit of a learning curve, but gestures/hotkeys are all listed on the bottom so it's easy to check whenever necessary. The material of the case itself also cleans really easy. I spilled a drink on it and it wiped right off. I feel like this is a pretty good value all things considered, especially when similar products at big box stores can eb a couple hudnred bucks. The only downside is that the keyboard, while slim, does add a bit of bulk to the case. It's not a huge deal for me, but my boyfriend who also has an ipad did notice the difference immediately.

    Works
    Color: Light Gray
Heavy! It is a nice case and the keyboard works good. Turns off randomly, but not too annoying. This case is heavy though! It at least triples the weight of my iPad, which is opposite the reason I got an iPad Air. Too late to return, I just take the keyboard out, but it must be the magnets in the case that are so heavy.
