Besonderheiten: Dieser limitierte Single Malt Whisky aus der renommierten Glasgow Distillery wurde exklusiv für die "Peated Awakening Series" abgefüllt. Destilliert im Jahr 2018 und abgefüllt 2025, reifte er sieben Jahre lang in einem Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask (#18/1194). Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 59,7% vol. präsentiert er sich in natürlicher Fassstärke und ohne Kühlfiltration oder Farbstoffe. Die Auflage ist auf 320 Flaschen limitiert, was ihn zu einer begehrten Rarität für Sammler und Kenner macht.
Tasting Notes:
- Nase: Intensive Aromen von dunklem Torfrauch, Leder und Lagerfeuer vermischen sich mit süßen Sherrynoten von Rosinen und getrockneten Datteln. Unterlegt von Nuancen aus Schokolade, Vanille und gerösteten Nüssen.
- Gaumen: Kraftvoll und tief, mit rauchiger Torfasche, süßen Trockenfrüchten, Karamell und Toffee. Ergänzt durch Eichenwürze, Espresso und eine dezente maritime Note.
- Abgang: Lang und wärmend, mit Noten von Kakao, Rauch, süßem Malz und dunklen Früchten.
Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Glasgow Distillery wurde 2014 neu gegründet und ist die erste Single Malt Destillerie in Glasgow seit 1902. Sie produziert Single Malt Whisky aus schottischer Gerste und Wasser aus Loch Katrine, ganz im Einklang mit der Tradition. Mit vier Pot Stills und einem Produktionsvolumen von 440.000 Litern widmet sich die Brennerei der Herstellung hochwertiger Whiskys.

It was worth every cent

I have BPPV. It's a condition where tiny ear crystals come out of place and move within your ear canals - this fools your brain into thinking you're in motion, causing severe dizziness. The most common treatment is the Epley Maneuver, and that actually helps a lot. However, I was going through a period where every single day I'd wake up with severe dizziness. Even if I managed to do the Epley Maneuver and it worked, the entire rest of the day would be ruined because I'd still feel generally unwell and nauseous. I ended up getting a book about BPPV and the author strongly recommended sleeping at at least a 30 degree angle. So, that's why I ended up buying this wedge pillow...
I started using it April 26 and today is May 17. Since I began using it as a pillow, I have not woke up dizzy again. That is so huge! It may be that sleeping at a 30 degree angle deserves 5 Stars but thought I'd give this pillow 5 Stars too, as it's been a great experience. If you suffer from this, here's how the angle should be...If you lay your head on a pillow and open your eyes, you should not be looking at the ceiling. With the right angle, you should be looking at where the wall meets the ceiling. If so, you know you're at the right angle.
As far as pillow itself, I'd say the pillow case fabric is of average quality. Not really remarkable in any way. It seems decent. Good value for the price. The inside is firm (which is just what I needed) but comfortable, and I tend to not move around much the entire night. I like this very much and if it does start wearing out, I'll definitely come back here and buy another. Would recommend.

A bit too firm but great otherwise

I got this wedge pillow primarily to have something to lean my head against (I like to lay on my side when reading or looking at my phone at night sometimes), or to sit upright when reading in bed. It's very comfortable doing both now. It does a really good job at being a nice support for the back of my bed. Only negative is I feel it's too firm. I wouldn't use it as a primary pillow, but it's definitely good for back support at least.
While I won't mark it down for this, I do find it very large. If you have anything smaller then a queen it may take up more of your bed then you'd like.
Definitely recommend. Hopefully will last quite a long while as well.

So helpful after surgery.

Perfect support while recording from abdominal surgery. This pillow maintains its shape and is not overly soft. I used it vertically as a prop for watching television and then used it horizontally to prop myself up to sleep, once I returned to sleeping in bed. I used this daily for 6 weeks or so following surgery. The cover can be removed and machine washed. The non-slip nubbies are helpful. This pilllow is high quality and really helped to minimize pain and improve my sleep after surgery.

Nice wedge pillow but not enough...

It came compacted and when I opened it expanded almost immediately, maybe took like 20 minutes to fully decompress. Its soft and comfortable and the cover is really nice. But it does have a strong chemical smell, which is normal for this kind of brand new memory foam, I just put it on a table with a window open near it and after maybe 24 hours the smell was almost completely gone.
The problem is that I bought this to have a elevated position when sleeping but the 30° are just not enough for me. I wish it was at least 45° but I could not find any pillow with that amount of degree... it's either 30° or like 75° in the other position. At the base of the pillow there is a little ridge that is comfortable for the lower back but makes me slide down in the middle of the night so I end up almost laying flat with my neck on the base ridge. With my slim build my lumbar area gets some nice support but makes my head almost have a "fall backwards" sensation, I like having my neck have a "push-forward" position with my pillow, but when adding another pillow to try and get to a comfortable position it only makes me slide down even more... :/

Very firm and durable

worked great for husbands surgery recovery. Very affordable, firmness was great, looked nice on the bed and also used it for the grandkids when they were watching a movie. Moved around with ease. Didn't use it to sleep with all night though. He could only make it half the night but that wasn't the pillows fault. It was the cast on his arm. Definitely did its purpose after surgery and the need to sit up in bed more. highly recommend
