Besonderheiten: Der Writers Tears Marsala Cask Finish ist eine limitierte Edition aus Irland, die von der Walsh Whiskey Distillery hergestellt wird. Diese Abfüllung basiert auf einer Mischung von Single Pot Still und Single Malt Whiskeys, die in amerikanischen Eichenfässern reift. Anschliessend erfolgt die Nachreifung für 12 Monate in Marsala-Weinfässern des Weinguts Florio aus Sizilien. Der Blended Whiskey hat einen Alkoholgehalt von 45 % und ist frei von Farbstoffen. Diese spezielle Herstellung verleiht ihm ganz besondere Nuancen und erweitert das Profil der Writers Tears Reihe.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: In der Nase zeigen sich Der Whisky beginnt mit leichten metallischen Noten, gefolgt von staubigen Holznoten und vielen kandierten Nüssen. Hinzu kommen Aromen von roten Trauben, Honigsüsse und grüne Äpfel. Abgerundet wird das Aromenspiel durch duftendes Sandelholz und Wacholder.
  • Gaumen: Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Whiskey dünner als erwartet, jedoch mit einer angenehmen Balance zwischen süssen und trockenen Aromen. Walnüsse und Pekannüsse dominieren, unterstützt von leichtem Toffee sowie Trauben und Äpfeln. Zarte Hinweise auf Backgewürze wie Muskatnuss und Pfeffer runden das Geschmackserlebnis ab.
  • Abgang: Der Abgang ist mittel, wird jedoch zunehmend trockener. Aromen von Zitrusschale und würzigem Eichenholz sorgen für einen interessanten Nachklang.

Assembled chair only to find that the lift cylinder was faulty. Would have preferred to be able to just get a replacement cylinder but calling China didn't seem like a viable option. Guessing which one & buying it online would involve paying for a good portion of what the chair cost. Customer service could only offer a replacement or refund. We're disassembling (so much fun?!) to send it back. The chair itself was very comfortable, assembled fairly easily and instructions pretty clear. Again, if we could only have asked the seller for the replacement part......**Update**...Or if the instructions that seemed so clear were clearer!, as we started to disassemble, we decided to see what would happen if the tension knob (see photo) was loosened. IT ALLOWED THE LIFT CYLINDER TO WORK. Not at all what the instructions say. At any rate, we're keeping the chair.
