- Diese Namiki Emperor Owl Füllfederhalter verwendet die Techniken Rankaku und Togidashi-Taka Maki-e. Mit der Rankaku-Technik wird das Design aus kleinen Stücken oder Puder von Wachteleierschalen erstellt. Es wird auf der lackierten Oberfläche eingebettet und mit Lack überzogen. Anschließend wird die Lackoberfläche poliert, um das Design freizulegen. In diesem Stück wird die Silhouette der Eule mit dieser Technik vom Handwerker Yutaka gefertigt. Durch das Abschließen des Hintergrunds und anderer Elemente der Szene mit Togidashi Maki-e-Techniken wird dem Hauptdesign unter Verwendung anderer Materialien wie Lack und Holzkohlepulver eine größere Betonung verliehen. Das Design wird dann mit denselben Techniken wie beim Hira (flach) Maki-e fertiggestellt. Das Ergebnis ist ein Eindruck majestätischer Opulenz. In Japan bringen Eulen Glück und bieten Schutz vor Leiden.

Miracle pillow

Really wanted to love these

I really wanted to love these but they gave me a stiff neck. I haven't slept with a pillow since buying these. They are firm except where you lay your head. It just deflates there. I expected it to sink in to match the curve of my neck but it was more than I could handle. My head ended up in a valley between the two ends of the pillow. The price was good, zipper worked fine, it looks as advertised and the pillows are good quality. The cooling part works, its just not what I needed.
