Bei dem gruseligen Spiel Night Of Frights ist jeder Spieler abwechselnd in drei Schritten am Zug. Zuerst nimmt man zwei Gegenstände aus dem Pool und legt sie mit dem Bild nach oben in die nummerierten Räume. Dann benutzt man Aktionsplättchen, um verschiedene Aktionen auszuführen, z. B. in benachbarte Räume zu gehen, alle Gegenstände in seinem Raum aufzunehmen oder Gegenstände zu zeigen, um sich noch mehr zu gruseln. Wenn du passende Gegenstände zeigst, kannst du sie entfernen, indem du dein Charakterplättchen nach oben drehst und es auf der Angstanzeige entsprechend der Anzahl der Symbole nach oben schiebst. Dies kann dir helfen, den Wächter zu fangen, der sich in Raum 1 oder 2 befindet, wenn deine Charaktermünze auf dem Angstmesser nach oben zeigt. Benutze eine Aktionsmünze, um den Wächter zu fangen und das Spiel zu gewinnen! Aber Achtung: Jeder Zug beginnt mit dem Umdrehen der obersten Ereigniskarte und der Durchführung der entsprechenden Aktionen. Dann mischst du die Schachtel und zählst die Anzahl der Plättchen auf der Angstanzeige. Wenn du ein Wächterplättchen ziehst, fängst du den Wächter und gewinnst das Spiel. Wenn du nur Fehlwurfplättchen ziehst, legst du sie zurück in die Schachtel und nimmst dir neue Aktionskarten. Dann drehst du dein Charakterplättchen um, wobei das Plättchen auf der Angstanzeige nach unten zeigt, und du musst Gegenstände ablegen, um dich noch mehr zu gruseln, bevor du erneut versuchen kannst, den Wächter zu fangen. Wenn du keine Aktionsplättchen mehr hast oder keine Aktionen mehr durchführen kannst, gibst du alle Aktionsplättchen an den Spieler zu deiner Linken weiter. Der erste Spieler, der den Wächter fängt, hat gewonnen. Aber Vorsicht, der Wächter kann auch entkommen!
