Das Werk des in München geborenen Malers Günter Fruhtrunk (1923–1982) steht einerseits in der Tradition der abstrakt geometrischen Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts, andererseits nimmt es einen international sehr eigenständigen Platz ein. Der in München geborene Künstler interessierte sich früh für den Suprematismus und Konstruktivismus. Er verfolgte eine künstlerische Praxis, in der persönlicher Ausdruckswille ganz hinter das Werk selbst zurücktritt. Auf der 4. documenta 1968 war er einer der Malerstars und sorgte mit seinen farbigen Streifenbildern für Furore. Die Publikation gibt erstmals nach langen Jahren wieder einen Einblick in den Reichtum von Fruhtrunks Schaffen. Zu entdecken ist ein Künstler, für den der sinnliche Wert von Farbe als Bedeutungsträger in einer engen Verbindung zur abstrakten Form steht.Ausstellung: Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein 25.5.–2.9.2012

Has shoulder pads.
The jacket has shoulder pads that don't necessarily show on the image in the purchase area. Pretty pronounced so if that's not your thing definitely stay away. Got lucky and it doesn't look too bad on me but it took so long to receive the package I don't feel like going through the refund process so I'm dealing with it. Quality is great tho

Nice Coat Not So Great Packaging

Nice coat but packaging needs to be improved. It arrived not properly folded and as a result it was completely wrinkled. Took some work to iron so it looked as advertised. Packaging for such things has to be reviewed.
