Der KAOKO Tempomat-Geschwindigkeitsstabilisator funktioniert über eine innovative Reibungsmutter, die mit einem speziellen Lenkerendgewicht verbunden ist. Um den Tempomat zu aktivieren, wird beim Gasgeben die Reibungsmutter zwischen dem kleinen Finger und der Handfläche eingeklemmt, was die Mutter festzieht und die gewünschte Geschwindigkeit hält. Die Deaktivierung erfolgt ebenso einfach durch Lösen der Reibungsmutter beim Gaswegnehmen.
