Dieses praktische Spitzenprodukt kombiniert zwei Filterarten miteinander: Es ist sowohl variabler Graufilter (ND) als auch Polarisationsfilter (CPL). Durch diese technische Neuentwicklung ist die Verwendung von getrennten ND- und CPL-Filtern nicht mehr notwendig. So wird das Fotografieren wesentlich einfacher und komfortabler.

Ein ND (Neutral Density) Filter kann die Lichtintensität reduzieren ohne Farben zu verändern. So ermöglicht er Effekte, für die ein hoher ISO-Wert, eine lange Belichtungszeit und eine große Blendenöffnung benötigt wird. Außerdem dient er als Schutz der Kameralinse vor zu starkem Sonnenlicht. Variable Filter eignen sich für jede Aufnahmesituation und bieten den großen Vorteil, dass man nicht mehr eine Vielzahl verschiedener ND-Filter dabei haben muss, sondern ein einziger genügt.

Polarisationsfilter (CPL) beseitigen störende Lichtreflexe beim Fotografieren. Zusätzlich wird durch den Polfilter die Farbsättigung erhöht und der Kontrast verstärkt. Lichtreflexe von z. B. nichtmetallischen Gegenständen können ausgeschaltet werden, während die Farbbalance nicht beeinträchtigt wird. So gelingen spektakuläre kontrastreiche Bilder mit satten Farben.
Durch drehen des Filters können Sie selbst bestimmen, bis zu welchem Grad die Reflexion des aus unterschiedlichen Richtungen kommenden Lichtes zugelassen bzw. unterdrückt werden soll.

I liked the worlds and the characters. The prophesy is confusing in that I would think, since all worlds ore on a path to destruction, the angels would want their world to be saved. I am sure there is more evil that will be revealed as the series proceeds. I dislike a prolonged “poor little me” trope and the main character has moved past that, thankfully, and began to show a fierce attitude as the novel progressed. The last portion of the novel had some great action. It’s worth reading, just be patient with a slow start.

This book packs an emotional punch, especially if you’ve experienced childhood trauma (particularly abuse and/or neglect). Alexandra creates these three strong protectors who love her and will do anything to make her feel happy and safe. She started out drawing them when she was a small child, and then transitioned to stories as she grew up. Lucien, Elwin, and Kylo look frightening in their monster forms, but it’s clear that they would never hurt Alexandra, and she has never felt afraid of them. They have very distinct personalities that we get to know better throughout the book. The love and devotion they have for Alexandra is sweet and unwavering. This is a fantastic and creative story! The world-building is wonderful - it’s a shared world with M. Sinclair, and takes place at a university for supernatural beings. The additional world-building within Alexandra’s story added even more depth and intrigue. The spicy times were 🥵 and it’s more of a medium burn, but it works with the characters and I expect that it’ll pick up quite a bit in the next books. Monsters Within has a unique way of addressing mental health issues that can come from being abused and neglected. There are some flashbacks to Alexandra’s childhood that provide some insight but they don’t go into heavy details. I absolutely adored this book and can’t wait for more!
