Le Léman n’est pas seulement un plan d’eau de tous les superlatifs en raison de sa taille. Pas moins de huit bateaux à roues historiques de la Belle Époque ont survécu sur le plus grand lac des Alpes. Cinq d’entre eux fonctionnent encore aujourd’hui grâce à une machine à vapeur. S’y ajoutent de nombreux bateaux à moteur datant de plusieurs décennies, dont les plus récents sont actuellement mis en service. Chacun de ces bateaux fait l’objet d’une biographie dans le nouveau livre sur « La navigation sur le Léman, une histoire ». Mais ce ne sont pas seulement les bateaux encore conservés qui sont mis à l’honneur, des biographies sont également consacrées aux bateaux historiques déjà disparus. A commencer par le bateau à vapeur « Guillaume Tell », qui fut le premier bateau à vapeur de Suisse à être mis en service en 1823.
